Description
In honor of the season premiere of The Walking Dead last night (awesome show!) ...Janice knelt at the gate and peered out at the driveway beyond. A zombie was slowly shambling down it towards her. The gate was padlocked so she felt safe enough. Her goal, the boat house with all it's fast speedboats, lay beyond the driveway just within her range of vision.
She was planning her path to the boathouse when she heard a rustling behind her. She turned just in time to see a zombie stumble up to her and drop to it's knees, it's arms grabbing at her. In a panic she struggled to rise as it attempted to draw her into a fatal embrace ...

Thanks for the feedback! You are right, there is no boat house in view to explain her attire. I don't actually have a boat house in my run time, so maybe that's a deficiency I need to correct. I have overcast sky materials that I could place on the sky prop and I do have rain props. For some reason I've not really used them much yet. I am wanting to take this first year to play with all the things I have in my run time so perhaps I should look into using them in some pics.

Great pic, except for one thing. Contrary to "popular opinion" or "popular culture", Those are not Zombies. Zombies don't eat people. Zombies are slaves created through Voodoo by a Bokor. Those are Ghouls. Ghouls eat people, primarily corpses, but are not averse to killing to get said corpse. They also can turn a person into a ghoul through their bite.

Hmmmm. Well, good point but terms and definitions are fluid things. I think the distinction between zombie and ghoul may have been eroded over the last few decades.

Not really. A big part of language is making sure that you can distinguish one thing from another, and properly identify one thing from another. It also takes away the identity of the real thing. It's like calling a cat a dog, or a horse a cow, or a bat a bird. There are superficial similarities, but very fundamental differences. When we describe the macabre actions of murderers and cannibals who brutally torture and dismember their victims, and even eat them, we describe that behavior as "ghoulish", as in befitting of a ghoul. This is because that is what a ghoul does. That's where the phrases "ghoulish behavior", and "ghoulish actions"comes from. By contrast, the fear that zombies instill in people, particularly in Haiti (where Voodoo is very prevalent) is not so much the Zombies themselves, but in having their souls stolen by a Bokor and thus being turned into a Zombie. The Zombies themselves are harmless.
And, for the record, there have been a number of real life cases of true Zombies. The most famous case is that of Clairvius Narcisse— en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clairviu… —whose story is detailed in the book (and later movie) The Serpent and the Rainbowen.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Serp… . In essence a true Zombie is created by a Bokor through the use of two separate toxins and drugs. The first is a concoction containing Tetrodotoxin (Pufferfish venom) to induce the intitial "death" and "resurrection" states followed by regular consumption of "Zombie Cucumber, a drug containing Datura Stramonium to maintain a highly suggestible delirium in the victim convincing both them and everyone else that they have been raised from the dead as soulless zombie slaves.

Thanks! The grass and foliage made placing the figures a bit tricky. It's still not perfect but it will do. The first zombie isn't actually wearing a shirt. The second zombie is not wearing anything at all. The girl is indeed the default v4 shape with the Alahna skin (www.daz3d.com/dmr-alahna) . I love giving my victims ... er ... heroines looks of fear and enjoy playing with the expression options for v4 a lot.
