magic!
I thought it and it happened.
um, ok ok.
Theres a lot of rubbing paint in with a cloth.
There's splattering of the paint.
There's splattering of more paint.
There's wiping away splatters.
there is rubbing away layers.
layers layers layers.
and experimentation.

It rules! I love the colors and the way the face is somewhat 'hidden' and a part of the picture!

somehow, it reminds me of the protagonist of a comic called blame, by Tsutomu Nihei. Like some of your other works, remind me of him.
I like very much this, the colour and the composition are great!

awesome. i've not heard of Tsutomu (or at least i don't recognize the name, Im not sure if Ive seen the art -) is there a link of his work somewhere? (or I could google it) I love discovering artists new-to-me.

this is the character I commented to you, called Killy. Of course you can look for the work of Tsutomu Nihei at google, there are a lot of images and information of him. His comic "Blame" is well known. I love the comic, does not have many dialogues, but the argument, the picture and his style are great.

see, the thing with philosophy is once you poke at it even in the slightest sense and however unintentionally or innocently, with mere curiosity in mind perhaps, its exceedingly difficult to just ignore its lurking presence, at least this is the case for me once...you delve into the subject matter. Its kind of like attaching some heavy weight to your ankle and then just sinking deeper and deeper down underwater(well philosophy isnt such a painful, despairing sort of experience as what such an analogy would suggest), but the point is...its not easy to just get back up to the surface cus the depths further intrigue you, and the end result is just a tangled mess but with no desire or urgency to get back out cus theres just so much expansive room for further exploration and analysis and contemplation once youve wandered into the realm of philosophy.
as you mentioned..chaotic, head-spinning debates, perhaps an over-analysis you might suggest? which you would rather not deal with as is the case for most. However, your art pieces could be considered as philosophical, if not more psychological as my previous comment on your 'Ever Knows' painting appears to be. Philosophy isnt just about headache-inducing complexities, or as Soren Kierkegaard(philosopher during 19th century) noted...the joy/delight, and intention of creating difficulties..heheh, but rather something which is incoporated in our every day lives to whatever extent...which varies from individual to individual just in our random thoughts, contemplations about our selves and surroundings. but either way, the thoughts, ideas, concepts, the whole process which you undertake in the creation of your art pieces are derived from the very stem of philosophy itself...the desire to work with ideas, to create associations, but above all else..to work with ideas, possiblity of thought and perspective itself which forms the basis of art and its expression/interpretation.
(Ive still to go poking through the rest of your gallery, the previous time I just kind of glanced through), but you definately have a very interesting style to your work just in the way you create a relationship between the subject matter of the piece and the dramatic outburst of color variation which appears to almost create this little 'home' for the actual component (subject, or focal point) in the piece.
gees, this is a hellishly long comment.
er, oh..i also responded with a bit of a clarification as to what that one pic i took is.....i dont know if you received it as one of your messages..not entirely clear as to how the whole responding option works on one's own account, but yeah. I think ill stop rambling for now. ciao.
