Transforming Element: Alchemical Mercury (Spiritual Water)
The Hermaphrodite Child, who is brilliant and somewhat of a genius, does not become as the lazy, self-indulgent artist, wallowing in his emotions and reflections…but continues to work to refine himself until he reaches his goal (The Philosopher’s Stone, the Vision he set in Conjunction) FOR REAL, not just in feeling.
Distillation is symbolised by the distillation apparatus, rising and falling of the tides, the waxing and waning of the moon, the sin curve, the rise and fall of the wheel of the year, all the while climbing, flying, or confronting mountain lions or eagles.
