Mercury Symbolises Change, Communication, the Mind & Intellect
Transforming Element: Sulfur (Spiritual Fire)
The “New Parents” of the sacred marriage must not content themselves with “Controlling the Earth” of their parenthood, (being overprotective), but must open up to the spiritual fire from above (the imagination and vision of the child)
Fermentation starts with “Putrefaction”, in which everything that was newly created seems to turn to shit. This is kind of like doing Calcination (Phase One), all over again but right this time.
Fermentation is symbolised by wine, drugs, deep meditation, artistic inspiration, angels, The Hermaphrodite, and the peacock’s tail
