I found a picture of a sniper rifle on google to use as reference then I painted a blank shape in GIMP, trying to get it to match the image as best I could. Then added in shading and small details. I then made a simple army green button and placed the gun image on two separate layers, leaving the top alone and blacking out the one below it. Then I applied a blur to the blacked out image for a shadow.

Not sure what you mean hun, I made the icon in GIMP then uploaded it here. It's not really been published, I was contracted for the work through another site.

I am on my iPod touch soooo would that be an app or should I do photoshop

If you have photoshop, just go with that but I wouldn't be able to advise you much since I don't use it myself. The programs differ, I'm self taught and I found GIMP easier to learn. [link] There are a lot of tutorials on DeviantArt though that show you how to with with Photoshop
