The Toymaker — Description

Winslow Schott III has had a less than normal life starting with his father, Winslow Schott Jr. was the former hero turned villain Toyman. Winslow Jr. was a genius inventor who has a fondness for toys and after using some his "toys" to stop a group of robbers, he decided to try it again to repeated success and use his resources to make himself into the world's next hero, Toyman. Things were wonderful for Winslow Jr. until a supervillain found out who he was and targeted the Schott family. Toyman would stop the villain from killing the younger Winslow, but failed to save Mrs. Schott. When the villain was sentenced to 9 years in prison, Winslow Jr. was enraged that the villain got a slap on the wrist for murder. Days later, the villain was found dead in his cell after an explosive was found to have been snuck in with a wind up toy. Toyman's allies tried to find him, but he and his son were on the run. Toyman would be a villain and bring about his own personal brand of justice to criminals, even if it means their deaths. With the elder Winslow out, his son would need someone to look after him and that's when he built the android, Darci, as a guardian and "older sister" to little Winslow. Winslow III would grow up on the run and having to hide and after a while it got so old and he left his father and Darci to pursue his own life
When Winslow III was in his 20s, he had already gotten a PHD in robotics and engineering and was onto a promising future despite his name still bringing ridicule. A phone call would interrupt Winslow's life as Darci called him to let him know that Winslow Jr. was dying of terminal colon cancer and he only had days, maybe weeks left. Winslow III saw his father as a withered husk of his former self and all the hate that he once had was just gone and replaced by sadness at all the missed time and how his father's end was soon to come. Winslow wouldn't accept this for long and would strive to collect the world's state of the art cybernetics plans and put his father's brain and spine into a robotic body. It had been done before with Robotman of The Doom Patrol. For days, Winslow would work to perfect the process and build a robot for his father and just when it seemed like Winslow was on the verge of a breakthrough, Winslow Jr. died. The younger Winslow was distraught and Darci planned the funeral arrangements. What was supposed to be a solemn day for Winslow and Darci was instead made out to be a joke by people outside of the cemetery mocking that "Toyman broke to pieces". Winslow would have Darci look at the crowd and later see her optic recordings to find out who they were and really make them pay. Winslow would find that he liked this life and would keep at it until Superman stopped an explosion and found Winslow, taking him to the police, but Darci got away by pretending to be an inactive android.
Winslow would not be prison for very long as he constructed an escape device with scraps that he collected over three days. Not wanting to be known as the new Toyman, Winslow announced to the world that he was the Toymaker and no one was safe from his "toys." Toymaker would built all kinds of robots and weapons to fight not just Superman, but any hero who came his way. Toymaker also wanted to push the boundries of science with his plans, namely the cybernetic body that would've save his father. To prove to the world that it would work, Toymaker did something horrific and abducted George Windham, a child suffering from leukemia and after a week, he was returned home, but not as himself, he had become a ventriloquist dummy and one that was equipped with finger spikes that injured his family when they panicked at the sight of him. This news horrified everyone, but there was one person who saw the promise of this development, Lex Luthor. Lex would use his resources to find the Toymaker and fund his work if he would come to LutherCorp and work on a project that stalled in development, Project Metallo. Toymaker would accept this offer as Lex hated Superman even more then he did and working under Luthor would mean more funds to work with. In a short while, Toymaker figured out every problem plaguing Project Metallo and they'd have their first subject for the project in the form of US Marine, John Corbin. Corbin was dying due to heavy injuries from a near fatal car accident and much of his body was gone or in decline.
Life was good for Winslow with a steady job, a happy sister (who could change her look on the fly), and ways to advance the pursuit of robotics and cybernetics, but things would take a turn when a new hero emerged from Tokyo, a teen going by the name of Toyman. He was honoring the heroic side of the first Toyman, by using his name in tandem with the genius level jury rigged tech that this new Toyman used to stop criminals and villains. Winslow was enraged and took off to Tokyo to find this faux Toyman and kill him for taking his father's name. The Toymaker would engineer a fake villain attack and draw Toyman II into a trap, which did work, although Toymaker was so laser focused on Toyman II that he failed to notice other heroes coming to the teen's aid. The Super Young Team, made up of Superbat, Atomic Lantern, Lolita Canary, SHA (Shiny Happy Amazon), Sonic Lightning, and Sunny Sumo, would fight the Toymaker and defeat him, sending him right back to the US to after he serves out his sentencing in Toyko. Winslow would be sent to a maximum security prison, but he would only have to bide his time before he'd be free again, either by his own skills or Lex busting him out.

Additional Info
1) Toymaker used his Giant Ray Gun on a chimp at the Metropolis Zoo by the name of Toto.
2) One of Toymaker's most favorite vehicles is his giant spider mech. Impractical, but so cool looking.
3) Winslow had a goth phase in his teens where he wore nothing but black clothes(with a yellow smiley face on the shirt), had long black hair, and black lipstick.
4) Toymaker has had some dealings with Joker to give the mad clown some clown or prank themed weapons.
