Sammy Sculpture — Description
Decided to make another sculpture, this time for Gummisuptter over at Twitter, twitter.com/gummisputter of their very lovely Toon Gal Sammy.

This is easily my biggest project yet, it stands about 11 inches to a foot tall, I really need to get measuring tape later to confirm on it, but it towers over everything I've made so far. And it doesn't go without the learning experience, as it took 7 days to sculpt and 2 days to paint. I would've been done sculpting in 5 days, but it kept falling on me multiple times/3 times in the oven. After I got the head on, the weight of it made it tip over, and break in multiple locations. So I had to fix it multiple times, and figure out.........how to make it work. I kept telling myself......."I just need this to work once, and it's done" but time and time again, it kept alluding me and I kept trying more things to make it stable. In the end, after I got the lower body and torso connected, I just connected the head together to the body with Air Dry clay. That stuff gets as hard as a rock just as good as Oven bake, so I worked with it on the neck joint, and was fine with that.

With the new job I'll be getting pretty soon, this is probably going to be my last BIG project for a long while. But I won't give up on sculpting, just on days off, I'll probably work on smaller projects again. But I'm super proud of how this came out, and doing something for an awesome Toon artist I enjoy seeing their work for a long time now. Ha ha!
