Description
thanks to the helpful words of Ajwe0ruij, i hafe finally got Dynamicl DAZ stuff...cand to a fack of a lot with it and to be honest, this is a gawdawful mess compared to what i had once before totally FUBAR'ing the settings...
i'd go back and alter it... but i can't seem to get the old save open already... oh well...
feeling too crummy for words after a biopsy of my gut and sick of looking for another job... why cant i be selfish and expect the world to do it for me? bah... blast my reasonable nature!

or a cat...
i was always a fan of the earlier scene. with the woman in the bathroom... and the rather distracting cutaways to a man exploding into tentacles...

well, making a complex request, saying you wont pay then telling me that i don't make any of it myself... not sure how it's intended to go across without the punctuation

it's freeware. no permission needed.
besides. they sell the parts to be used comercially, i buy the parts to be used comercially. therefore, using them comercially requires no permission.
of course, feel free to do it yourself

nope. i buy these parts, alter them, utilise the features the creators made and make my own. i intend to sell them when i have crafted them a little better and sorted the userbility issues with them

There is a glitch with DAZ's dynamic clothing I want to see if someone can recreate.
Steps:
1. Get dynamic clothing plug-in and a piece of dynamic cloth. I'm not sure if you can do this without the plug-in...
2. create your scene and get ready for making an animation (also works with single frame, but I think its not as good); the longer the better. I usually don't save the end product.
3. Set view to perspective. Actually, anything other than the camera you can place...
4. Start a drape.
Now for the glitch:
5. In the window that pops up during the drape, click the X box in the top corner to close the window. If the glitch occurs, the drape keeps happening... You can now change the parameters of the model its draping to while its draping...
Not sure what its good for, but its fun to play with!

yes, you can. but because of the demmand on the computer, it can REALY lag and sometimes mess up the drape

Ajwe0ruij In reply to zededd [2010-12-05 21:57:33 +0000 UTC]
True. Also, the only ways to stop the glitch are closing the file or having the drape complete.

Both animated and single frame drapes have a set amount of "drape frames" (Or "drape time"? Its something like that). The drape automatically stop after so many of these "frames" depending on settings (You can change the number of "frames" using the dynamic clothing plugin, I think).

If you have questions, I might be able to help, provided you don't mention where you got said help.
Its due to a laziness issue.

if you don't want the credit from a fetish-artists profile, that's fine by me
but i'd apreciate any suggestions on how to make it smoother. both in animation and drape :S

I'm more afraid people will start asking me for tech support. (Probably because this is more or less an anonymous account)
Drapes and animation: Most of the stuff you will deal with is under the garment and preferences tabs in the control panel. Those will have most of the stuff you should change. You might also change things under the Panel tab and Physics, but I think most of it is pretty self explanatory. The physics tab is for changing gravity and wind and the panel tab is for changing certain properties of the clothing. The trick is to change stuff around and see what it does. (One tip for the panel tab: if it gives errors due to large/small values, try setting a property to a lower value then do a single frame drape. After it drapes for a while, stop the drape and change the value again. Repeat until you get the desired effect)
If you are going to do animation, I suggest setting an animation Cache Path, which can be set under the Preferences tab. Also, you can do a single frame drape before doing an animated drape, which may or may not be needed.
NOTE:
It is likely that drapes will always take a lot of time and computing power.

Good to know its not my computer messing up!
Glitching animated drapes seem to mess up less when changing stuff. It somehow makes sense to me, but I can't seem to explain it.
I never said it WOULDN'T lag.
Keep working on stuff!

Zededd, it does kinda look like a stop motion but the process looks good nonetheless. Not too fast, not too slow. The growth seems reasonably proportioned too. As for the sheet, does look crinkly, and as if there were a wind blowing prior to the process starting. I don't know much about 3D rendering, actually I don't know anything, but compared to your other works it does look less smooth, but I don't think it's your abilities, but rather the new settings or software you're working with. Have fun with this, I know I do.
