Because I always amaze myself with it. But when I think that I really start drawing like that..I need basic guidelines like the first one. The second one is like the lineart. After that I put under the lineart the basic colors and merge them together to one.
Hairs are on another layer. and will be added at the end. That is why I always draw baldies XD.

I think that drawing bald people is a good way - sometimes in artworks you see a characters with strange hears - too small skulls with no brain XD This helps to avoid that and I always sketch bald head at the beginning too

I really like to compare sketches with final artworks it is always a way to learn something. Oh and it just amuses me to see how something crocked becomes something pretty
