PLEASE WATCH THE ACTUAL ANIMATION HERE: [link]Just to clarify, what happens at #Foot-Tech stays at #Foot-Tech and is no way connected to the actual Ryuu/Yoko storyline. This is just an alternate reality happening for fun
I love those videos where fans replace the characters in a OP or commercial with a different set of characters! Last Thursday while I was looking up stuff on Saint Oniisan (OMG I LOVE YOU JESUS AND BUDDHA) I came across the Saint Oniisan parody of the Russ-K Nanikeidemonai commercial, and it really made me want to do my own!
Since I REEEEEAAAALLY wanted Sora in there I had to go with the Foot Tech universe, hehe! Besides, Ryuu and Yoko would NEVER dance like that in their original universe anyway
Jun and Shouhei aren't officially enrolled in the Foot Tech group, but they would be attending if their ojou-sama is too ^^
I put Yoko in twice because I didn't know who else to put ><; I thought of putting Haraku in there since he's another Foot Tech fave of mine, but I think I will die an early death if I try to animate a cat head TT__TT Plus.. I don't think he'd hang around Yoko anyway

Gah, this thing took me ALL DAY, ALL NIGHT, and then ALL MORNING. And to think I'm already using a base. I will never want to be an animator for a living. I'll die @_@
The boys were easy because they fit in with the base well, so I only spent around an hour or so on each sequence. BUT YOKO WAS SUCH A BITCH. She had to be drawn from scratch, so I spent around 4 hours on each of her sequences >_<
Please bear the fact that the animation is REALLY rough, because I skipped a heck lot of frames. They only average about 30 frames per sequence. And also, I didn't even bother cleaning up the drawings. But... I don't want to spend more time on this than I have to. Sorry T_T

Yeah, I didn't really use any special programs. I drew each frame by hand and just put them together in a video editor

Try searching Youtube, many fans have done it with different anime characters. Maybe the ones you want already have one!

No, I deleted them as soon as I was done with them. You can easily take your own screenshots from YouTube.

No, I just took screenshots while watching on YouTube and then used the screenies as my base ^^

I took screencaps of the animation that I chose to base it on (in my case, the Saint Oniisan version, although next time I want to just rotoscope it from the original liveaction vid). For the guys, I merely drew and animated their heads while tracing the body. For Yoko though, since she has a girl body, I had to redraw the whole thing, but still using the screencaps as a guide.
Then I just put each frame together and placed music in iMovie because I don't have any good editing software

I spent an ENTIRE sick day watching these vids one after another a few weeks ago. The song's so catchy and some people did the most amazing animations with their fave characters. Of course I Had to fave the TMNT one. Love Usagi in it! Not so sure splinter is the pop dance type ^_^

I'm not sure I'm quite fond of the iPod one since the silhouettes and dance animation could be better (yeah, I'm one to talk), but that DID lead me to cooler things, like TMNT-fied anime openings!! Haha, what a gem! Now I'll never get work done!

Haha yeah, the TMNT one is really well done! All those little extras the artist put in (like the tongues sticking out and Donnie's butterfly!) were a real treat!

I'm wondering why use Mikey twice though, when there's a lot of other characters they could have used. I would have loved to see Master Splinter getting jiggy with it. Then again, maybe it's because the person who made it didn't want to animate Splinter. I know I wouldn't have. He just seems to hard to draw XDDDD
