the reason i have so few digital art favorites is mostly because i dont understand it... i mean i can understand the concept but other than that i have no idea what it takes to be done, or formed into shapes and layers. I dont know how much labor it needs, compared to traditional art. (traditional art i know very well the efforts it takes in every medium 
My nieces urge me to do digital at some point or at least try but if i do this then how will i smell the scents coming out of my oil paints, the acrylics, how will i see the washes of the watercolors lay down on the paper making all kind of textures? I am too in love with traditional to let go.

I take a couple of hrs doing mine, however depends on what I am doing. The concept takes longer. My books take 2 years plus. I have a technique I do and how I write as well. Unlikely I would let that go. Β I understand from this your comments of scents from oil paints.

In any case you can always return to monochrome when you feel the time is right. Thank you for complimenting me on my colour sense but I do appreciate good black and white, I think!( Of course I don't want you to feel guilty!

Been wanting to use the white charcoal for a while.. The white is not (what's that word...) applying or putting enough white into the paper, am not an expert in charcoal but is the smooth paper a problem...? NOOB ALERT XD

Yes i know what you mean...but here's the good news! There's an alternative.Rich,smooth,amazing white highlights with a simple white soft pastel
And about the smooth paper..you can have your own choice about it.Smooth is ok for graphite pencils.For charcoal i prefer a textured paper.But this is only my opinion

graphite isn't my strongest point dear, you are much better than i am in it.I will always chose colors over graphite..it didn't turn out bad and it certainly took all the time it needed but during a review i find small things i wonder how would they turn through a different process.

In fact i believe your graphite work needs a little cropping,sharpness and contrast..its a shame such wonderful pieces as yours cant show properly..if you need help on how to do it,send me a note and i will be glad to help

yeah I noticed that. My kids lost my camera(can't find it anywhere),so I'm taking the pics with my phone which makes them look fuzzy. I guess I could sharpen them up in Phototshop. Any suggestions would be great. Unless you know where my camera is....lol
