Description Sonya nodded slowly, her eyes narrowing, as if TK were the one not to be trusted here. But finally, she said, "Okay... I believe ya. So, here's what you're gonna want to do..." TK listened closely as Sonya described a surprisingly short and straightforward route - though not one TK could ever have stumbled onto by accident in a thousand years - complete with warnings about the few booby-traps she'd allegedly encounter. The exhausted young heroine soaked every detail of those directions into her fatigue-fogged brain.

When Sonya finally finished, TK nodded slowly herself, and said, "Okay. I'll take ya at your word..." and those words burned her throat. How could she trust the twisted witch, after everything she'd put TK through? But what choice did she really have? The longer she stayed here, the greater the chance Morgus would find them...or that Sonya would have a sudden change of apparent heart and go back after her again. Some sort of course to follow was preferable to blind wandering, and in the absence of any directions except Sonya's...they would have to do.

TK smirked then, sagely, and added, "But I'm still not lettin' you out of that chair." With that, the tigress heroine turned and began to walk out, her steps heavy with weariness, her heart churning with frustrated rage...but her spirit flying free. She had won. And now, she was going home.

But all of that vanished in a split-second...as she heard a rustling sound behind her...could "sense" a change in the air pressure which told her someone was there - standing there... Sonya's voice crooned sardonically, "Oh...I don't think ya will, kitten... And don't worry about me...I can get up on my own just fine..."

And then something hard hammered across the back of TK's head, re-awakening the crater of agony where that pipe-trap had clubbed her...hours ago. But that pain faded into blackness as fast as it had come. TK never even felt herself hit the floor...
