And then TK's laboring heart skipped another beat and started pounding even harder, as a voice she both longed and feared to hear echoed faintly in from somewhere out in that concrete-walled labyrinth. "Uh-ohhh! Looks like somebody's stopped movin'!" TK's head snapped up and she let out a wheezing gasp of alarm. "Awww.... What's'a matter, kitten? Not gettin tired are ya? From everythin' I've heard, you're onna those 'never quit' types... Could it be people are wrong about ya? Have ya been lyin' to 'em? I'll bet ya haaaavve..."

"Dammit, dammit, dammit!" TK snarled under her breath, cursing the tracking devices in the bolas even more explicitly, in the fury-filled silence of her roiling mind. She instantly gave up the potential - if seemingly unlikely - salvation offered by her makeshift metal blade. Glancing back over her shoulder, eyes narrowed in anxiety and anger, the harried heroine began to trot onward and deeper into the tunnels, away from the fairly obvious direction of her tenacious hunter's voice. Much as TK hated to admit it, it was starting to look like this chase was rapidly approaching its conclusion...but it wasn't over until it was over. Not until and unless Sonya caught her. And with her arms bound like this, TK was determined not to let that happen...
