Stumbling Block... — Description
TK stumbled a bit as she moved to step over the fallen villain, marveling darkly once more at just how ragged she was feeling. The normally bog-simple act of making her way up that flight of steps suddenly seemed a daunting challenge...but one which she was thoroughly determined to overcome. She took a deep breath, bowed her head doggedly, and took the first lurching stride across the crumpled form of her downed tormentor.

And felt her heart nearly leap into her throat, when the ankle of her raised right foot was suddenly seized in a grip like iron. "Now, now...where do you think you're going, little one? I told you...you're never going to leave..." came the kidnapper's sardonic voice, winded and wheezing a bit, but all-too sharp and focused.

"NMMMPH!" TK muffled in weary alarm, trying to kick free and nearly toppling herself once again with the effort...saving herself only by a wobbling, backward-bending lurch at the last moment...

A lurch which proved futile a half-second later, as he grabbed her other ankle and jerked, sliding her planted foot back and unbalancing her completely, while shoving upward with her bent-and-raised right foot...sending the startled and beleaguered tigress toppling forward with a smothered, desperate growl. An exclamation that cut off abruptly in a sharp, muted grunt and a loud thud, as her forehead slammed into the outer edge of one of the unforgiving wooden stairway risers...
