Short sad comic is short and sad. I think Steven catches on quicker than the gems give him credit for. And i'm sure he started to feel a little unsure of himself especially after Rose's Scabbard. This is all pretty heavy for a twelve year old, being your own mom and all.Everyone else is making really cute SU comics and I'm over here like.... let's see how depressing I can make this.Β
My problem is I have these comic ideas, but I don't know how to make comics. So they end up just being a mashup of the sketches :/ oh well

I think now more than ever, he needs to bring this up with the mom squad, after being dragged to homeworld and leaving Lars behind, he needs some reassurance that his family loves him, and not just because he's Rose's son.

This is one of those moments that i think Steven bears a bit of resentment and possibly hatred towards the gems especially Pearl.Β

To some degree, but I think he knows that it's not fair to be mad at her since she's only grieving (besides, he doesn't seem like the kind of kid to hold a grudge. Except for Kevin...)

It's a very touching concept, my only criticism is that the end feels a bit rushed. Maybe a couple shots in where Steven's expression goes from waiting for an answer to anger before poofing the clones, and one more right after with him standing there before turning to the door would do the trick.

Poor Steven...that's way I always worry about his mentality and emotions. Β He shouldn't be treated as a silent scapegoat by his Guardians.

Steven's been raised not to ask questions about his mom, in some ways, and once her history comes out, these kinds of feels will be canon.

Reading this comic makes me tear up. I'm curious myself as to what would happen if Steven asked that. Though we won't know for certain until it happens. Though it'll definitely be a feels episode when it does.
