Another one of those ideas that's been in my head for almost two years now. Two. Freaking. Years. Goodness me...A while back I admitted to having played with the thought of doing something with the Wakfu manga plot line in my fan fics rather than completely ignore it. Important lore, all that jazz, tralalala. I wrote a very short story aka snippet then to try and see how I would go about with it, and while I still have no idea how, when or what, I figured drawing scenes would be enough for now.
This drawing takes places shortly after the 'raiding of the storage' scene from the third Wakfu manga issue, when Joris and Alys are still hidden away to enjoy a meal in peace... until Justice pops in to share more food and also some company. Thank you, Justice, but do keep your voice down; three is enough of a crowd!

Oh goodness no xD they aren't a couple here yet, that happens a few years later. The feelings are there, but neither of them will admit to it or confess until the OVA episodes/Loyalties fan fic. Joris just wants some peace and quiet while eating in their little hiding spot, without Justice giving it away to the others on the ship.

And same here. He just looks weird with hair... My gf drew him with hair, but I still can’t fully agree. Even though it doesn’t look too bad.

They are good friends indeed. Not very open about it, but they are close. They start out as 'student' and mentor shortly after their first meeting until Alys becomes an emissary for the Eliatropes. Their friendship blossoms over the course of six to seven years, along with the feelings of affection. They have a secret relationship after finally becoming an item, meaning that only a few know about them being together. This is mostly to keep loved ones safe (enemies, weeeh) and to not cause trouble to the nation/people/kings they serve (politics, boo). So no public cuddling/snuggling/showing of affection for these two xD all that is behind closed doors.
Bald seems like the most natural outcome for him because he is bald as a kid thanks to the curse. He is still, in a way, affected by it no matter that he is no longer Grougalorasalar's host and it is why I can't imagine him with hair. I've seen people draw him with hair, but it never looked right to me. But to each their own of course, until confirmed by Ankama.

And yeah. I mean, he said that he had a little hair in the movie, though I think he meant elsewhere and it was a joke. If he does have hair at some point at all, I’d prefer back I think. But eh, I hope not in a way.

There was a strange translation issue during that scene which makes it pretty confusing. Ankama's (official) English subtitles mentioned 'fur' instead of hair during that scene (that Pupuces feed on fur), to which Khan hinted about his own pubic hair being at risk (Iops will Iop aka be dumb) and Joris responded with that he had 'fur' growing as well. It was pretty bizarre. I don't believe Joris was talking about... well... pubic hair because he's only ten in the movie and suffers from a stumped growth. Seems very unlikely, but that's to remain a guess and not something I would like to go too deep into xD but he did seem concerned about having hair/fur grow somewhere. Maybe a mane like Grougalorasalar, who knows. It's up for speculation.

And wow, that is too weird. XD In the one we watched, it said hair, so that seemed funny. Some kidscan grow pubic hair very early, but year, 10 is pretty young.

I'll take it those were the fan subtitles attached to the video available outside of Steam? I was actually a part of the team who did the fan subtitles for the movie (plus4chan) and we had a heavy debate whether they were talking about was hair or fur during that scene. We eventually opted to go with hair, for less confusion. Also because Ankama hasn't been the most reliable when it comes to English translations outside of the games.

This is such a well-staged picture. Going from Justice Knight's golden mask, his cheery grin, Alys's eyes and then Joris. I laugh every time I look at that expression!

Ah yeah, it's something I've been doing with Alys for quite some time now. It isn't an Eliatrope trait, but I imagine Alys' pupils to slightly light up in the dark. I have no reason for it happening with her, I just think it looks cool xD
