Description
This is where the actual execution had to take a step back for the overall feel of the drawing (it's what's saving this from the Scraps). It's dark and sad and gloomy.A much more violent resolution to Zoruru's rivalry.
I have nothing further to say that the drawing doesn't say for me.
Oh, this is also somewhat inspired by something similar drawn in comic form by a Japanese fan-artist.

Jeeze, poor Zoruru. I don't think Dororo would ever do that. He seems like the type that will attempt to look for the good in someone until the cows came home. Though, if this was by accident, I can see it.

When driven into a corner, even the kindest, most gentle dog will bite and I feel the same about Dororo. Self-preservation and all...
(It still doesn't mean he likes the act itself...)
And now I want to draw a happy resolution to this...

The thing is, I wouldn't say that he's completely driven into a corner quite yet, or not enough to stab him. I can see him kicking him away, or shoving him, or a number of other things that wouldn't involve actually killing him. And the fact that he stabbed him all the way through the body, out through his back, makes it seem that he was very deliberate about doing this, which I don't see Dororo as being in this case. I could maybe imagine him doing this if a friend and/or platoon member was in danger, but only as a split-second reaction, and I don't think it would be so easily accomplished in that case. O_o
I look forward to seeing the happy ending to this. :< Poor, poor Zoruru.
Also, we'd like to know your feedback when you have the time, even if it's only for part of the story so far.

I really wish I'd drawn this from another angle, so I could've made it more obvious that he's going for a "killing blow" with his blade, the momentum is what's driving Dororo's katana in deeper than he'd be able to himself. ;;^^
I'm about two chapters in on your story and...holy crap, I'm actually pretty horrified at Zoruru's family situation. (Found myself outright wondering where Keronian social services were when Zoruru was being hit with frying pans.) Not to mention the bullying...
The angstiest background I managed to create for him was being slightly poor with a sickly mother.
Still the actual writing is very good, very descriptive. ^^ I hope to see some improvement for little Zoruru soon...
