Heartbreaker — Description
Spike's tiny feet pounded against the grass, huffing and puffing to hurry to Rarity's. This was his last chance to persuade her to go to the Summer Fling with him and not Sigmund. He clutched the flowers he'd picked like his life depended on it. The nightfall made it a bit harder to see Ponyville, but Spike could see the Carousel Boutique in the distance.

"Finally!" he whispered. When he got up to the shop, he noticed the closed sign. "That's weird. Rarity still has the lights on. She must be cleaning up." Spike decided to surprise her by waving through the window. This was a decision he regretted horribly.

When Spike peered into the window, he saw Rarity all right. Unfortunately, she and Sigmund were kissing, their eyes closed, his gloved hand holding her hoof. Neither of them were aware of the love-sick dragon watching their moment. Spike's heart broke, and the sight made him feel so sick he dropped to his knees, releasing his grip on the flowers. "I'm too late," he sighed.

For the first time in a very, very long time, tears began to well up in Spike's emerald green eyes. The wind sailed through the trees, creating their own melancholy sound. Spike finally walked away from that shop of bad memories, feeling defeated as ever.

This is going to be a part in my crossover fanfic, yes. I admit I am a fan of RarityxSpike, but in this story it's RarityxSigmund (or Sigarity for short).

I'm so sorry, Spike.

BTW, this is my first time drawing Spike. EVER. So I apologize if he looks weird.
