... would you lie with me and just forget the world? β«βͺA lot of sad news from Klein-Auheim ... Monja and Inuq started to fight for the alpha rank and the old alphas Ayla and Scott didn't withstand. Both were badly injured, both needed an emergency operation ... but fortunatly both survived
Till then some old photos ... Monja in beautiful light, seems to wait for something. I love to forget the world with her.

Since you already seem to have such extensive knowledge of these animals, I'm sure that you already know that this sadly does happen.Β It is most distressing when it does though.Β At Wolf Park here in the US, the staff have been on hand to "intervene" so that a wolf isn't so severely injured when an alpha takeover occurs.Β But I realize that isn't always possible.Β I'm glad everyone will recover however I realize that heartbreak this involves for you.

Yes, I know ... but I really hoped, that it won't happen with my cute arctic wolves ... a bit naive, for sure. Afterwards it is so obvious, even myself had written something like "Inuq - the soon to be alpha" - and an alpha changing is never a coffee and cake meeting
In Wolf Park, the staff is more present and closer to the wolves ... in Klein-Auheim I sometimes don't see a staff member for hours. But I wasn't there, maybe the situation has changed in seconds.Β

No, you are correct.Β It isn't a pleasant thing and the staff at Wolf Park at more close at hand to "assist" so that severe injury doesn't take place.Β It is not like that at most facilities that house wolves, I'm sure.Β I'm like you too; I so hate to think that anything would happen to our dear wolf friends.Β Let's just hope that the pack settles into a new, happy state and all can be well for several more years.Β Right?

Oh my, I can even imagine this cutie fight somebody, let along draw blood or...worse But, yeah, that's life, so I probably shouldn't be surprised. Either way, this picture is so beautifully innocent and strangely fits the song perfectly. How I would love to lie next to her and forget the world around

Well, such extreme reactions and fights til death are not that normal in nature. Normally, those who succumb are able to flee - inside an enclosure this is not an option and that's the biggest problem
However thank you Dogs and wolves are both perfect in looking innocent ...

True ... but I've never left her anywhere for about 9 hours ... have to cotton up with this option.
