Just before Cell undergoes his second transformation...First Cell absorbed Stella, a few days earlier and while he became more powerful, it caused him to undergo a grotesque transformation.
Hopefully, Cell will look better now with Jo as an additional source of power.

I hear ya. I tried to draw what Cell might have looked like after absorbing Stella but all of my attempts looked pathetic so instead I decided to make him unlit and none of his features visible except his eyes. Absorbing Stella messed up his appearance. Hopefully absorbing Jo will correct it. We'll see.
