Trouble — Description

Called to the Deans office, Damian and James await their punishment for doing no wrong, just missing the horrors behind the Deans tinted glass.
Two students at Panoptes high school, find themselves developing powers in their junior year. James and Damian must now navigate through life with two identities and balancing their lives. This would be easier said than done as a strange pill surfaces throughout Seattle turning prisoners and criminals into superpowered villains. Can they survive as heroes or will the pressure reveal itself to be too much?
Characters:
James Thomas: James is someone who feels hollow from a tragedy. Carrying on suffering alone but out of guilt forces himself to hang with his friends. He is a caring, gentle, kind, but sad individual. Once known for his energetic, fun, and bubbly personality, after a loss occurred his life spiraled with only his close friends knowing the difference from his old self. He only truly feels like himself when he's running on the track after school, away from friends who worry, his drunk father, and the daily stresses of life. He is still a very popular person around Panoptes high which makes these moments more difficult to find.
Damian Dramon: The smartest student at Panoptes high, or at least he claims to be, someone who believes he deserves popularity and others looking up to him. But Damian, with his antisocial and crippling social anxiety, has found himself at the bottom of the social ladder. Even with no friends or impact on anyone at school he somehow managed to find a nemesis, someone tied for first place as the smartest student, Gilbert Goobort. Both their egos not letting the grudge go, but nobody notices their petty squabbles anyways. His true passion is science, understanding the limitless frontier of outer space, often relating to floating through cold and unfamiliar territory, like school.
The “John” Dean: An emotionless statue of a man, monitoring the hallways and silently observing the lunchroom. He attends every school speech even but never speaks a word, and some say even blink. His presence alone can command an entire crowd. When he does speak, it is stern and icy cold. He uses this flat and dry tone for even faculty. Nothing is known about him, not even his last name.
