I love this pair so much ! I just think they are so cool together, not as a romantic couple but as friends.

I thought of the sad-AF neutral ending where Papyrus is the only spared boss during the run. When you got him on the phone, he talks about how much he'd like to receive a postcard from Undyne, since Sans told him she was on vacation .... So, yep, this drawing was based on a postcard at first, but it doesn't really look like one, does it ? xD
