I have to admit that I used an M1 because it's easy to make a simple vector out of it and because....it's the only one I could think of that fits. Semi-auto or full auto rifle that looks simple

I think Garand would be a pain even for a unicorn to use. Worse yet if the action doesn't lock back when the last bullet is fired.

It definitely is not a weapon made for pony use. like it's easily visible from the trigger alone. It's an import.

Triggers can be made adapters for so you can use it with your hoof, like Rarity's hoof mounts and the spoon mount seen when Plaid Stripes made her debut, but loading something like Garand is very questionable with and without fingers. Suppose without magic you could put the gun on its side on the ground and slide the new clip in, but even that's not easy. Easier for unicorn, but still ...

Pegasi can fly yes, but if you're armed with guns that shoot bullets even Rainbow Dash loses. If she manages to get into the air without getting hit, she'll certainly get hit trying to get away, depending on what gun is being used.
