Self + bench.I've had no one else to photograph lately
I know that there isn't any cerulean in this. I just like colour names
full-view is better. i hate my nose.

I think that composition might be better if we could see what you are looking at. I don't know how to say, but i sometimes do the same mistake when I take photos of people. they are looking somewhere and there is the edge of the photo. And I believe that's no good.
On the other hand, this photo is good for its colours, idea and light.

Yes, i see what you mean - it does feel cut off.
I didn't show what was to that side partly because that area of my backyard isn't very photogenic! Also, i wanted to focus on the bench, wall and shadows a bit more. I didn't like me being the focus of the shot, and i preferred to show what i was looking AWAY from rather than towards. But your suggestion would definitely work too - if only my backyard was prettier!
