The second one is good; I like vivid colors because I have to endure dull ones in everyday life
But the first one is nice in its own way; it's got a sunbathey feel to it that adds to the dragon's lazy look.
All in all I like the second one more though.

Overall, I think the muted colours in the top are a bit nicer, but I'm also a fan of bright colours, they're both nice. Btw, Periwinkle is a cute name (for a cute dragon).
