I've been asked a few times how I do my manes and tails, and well, I've finally made a tutorial for it. Never thought this day would come.
No need to credit me if you use this, just don't copy it to your computer and use it somewhere else without asking me first. Feel free to ask me questions, it's my first tutorial and I probably didn't explain it too well.Hope it helps you guys!

edit:/ quick tip i forgot to add in there! You want your mane/tail to MAKE SENSE! Don't just randomly draw strands and chunks that look awkward. Draw the curves and the highlights in a way that makes them flow,

i love this tutorial, but can you also use it without the tablet? I'm using the mouse for my manes, but its a bit hard lol

Well, to be honest, I don't think so :/ The reason it works is because of the pen pressure, or else my hair would be a big goop of different colors/shades! Sorry!

You said you used a 5, 9 and 13px brush... Does this mean the image size you were working with is really large? C:

Yes! The download size is the exact size I worked with; I find that playing around with the different sizes and then eventually always using 3 px brush at the end for all the detailing works great =3
