i don't want to dance anymore.
i don't know the steps,
and i don't want to fake it.
you don't want to lead,
you don't want to follow,
you just mimic the Choregraphy,
the steps i taught you...
the one's that i thought you taught me.
i'm trying to remember the moves,
but as you forget them,
i do as well.
i'm dancing alone to a song that i know,
that i used to love.
but it's fading as you forget.
and now, your faking the steps with another,
but she knows that your moves aren't real,
and that's fine with her.
she could care less.
and you are the least concerned.
you left me on the dance floor alone,
scared,
and shattered.
you tell me that you will guide me when i don't want you to.
but when i need you to,
you let go,
mid spin,
and i land on my ass.
i wish i could stop dancing,
stop tripping,
stop wishing,
but we've lost the beat, and the tango is dead.
