B a c k s t o r y

Bianco was born in Verona Italy as Federico Barilla the son of a entomologist. He had a very strong bond with his father and was always curious about his work. Most of the house was decorated with showcase filled with all kinds of exotic and common insects. Bianco didn't dare to touch the insects inside but he loved their looks and colors. A series of black and white moths were his favorites and he would look at them almost every day. He just loved the color white and everything that stained it was filthy! At a young age he developed a kind of cleaning mania and made sure everything was clean and tidy all the time.

When he grew older he joined his father in his work whenever he could, learned a lot about insects and studied their anatomy. He drew them a lot and followed the books his father wrote. The best day was the day his father looked proudly at him when his son joined a university to study biology with the focus on entomology. In the same year his father went on to long planned journey to Asia where he wanted to research exotic insects. For the first year they both were able to exchange letters and Bianco couldn't await the dy his father would return, but then the letters stopped and he grew more worried every passing day. Then a letter arrived that made Bianco cry out in tears. It seemed his father had gone missing and it wasn't sure if he was even alive anymore. The thought to never see his father again made him so heartbroken that he didn't wished for anything else then for him to come back again! To talk to him and see his proud face.

That was when a strange person appeared in front of him and introduced himself as The Ringmaster. He told Bianco that he could bring his father back to him! Bianco didn't hesitated and willingly shook his hand. As the Ringmaster left the front door opened and into the house cam his father. He was packed with loots of stuff and looked a bit exhausted but he was there and alive! Bianco embraced his father despite his filthy clothes and skin. He was just happy he was home again. They spend the rest of the day chatting and his father told him about his trip and how they lost their path and went to deep into the jungle. Then his father showed him a glass he took out of one of his bags. Inside was a pure white moth with black dots and light blue markings. Bianco was stunned for the insect was just beautiful. His father told him that he would call the new Species 'Bianco Bellezza'. They stayed together until the sun sunk down and as they went asleep Bianco had almost forgotten about the contract and thought of it as a daydream.

But when he awoke the daydream turned out to be a lot more real then he had thought. The Ringmaster told him that it was now his turn to pay off his depts and he gave him the brooch. Confused at first he asked the Ringmaster if his father was still alright and when the Ringmaster nodded, Bianco felt at ease. He just needed to work for a bit and soon he would be home again! He put on the brooch and his appearance changed. When he looked in the mirror he saw that his clothes resembled the moth his father had found and so he choose the name Bianco in honor of his father.
