So... yeah... There are a few reasons I'm posting this. 1) to help out the members in so that they can always post the best characters they can, and 2) because the amount of Mary Sues that exist in the MLP FIM community is getting waaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of hand.Now to be fair, there was a tutorial like this that I saw a while back, but I haven't been able to find it since. So I decided to make my own :3

Honestly she become a little bit too normal now...perhaps make her into a unicorn and give her a cm,which is realted to plants/fashion,could be even more better?

First Always start with a little idea of the pony, doesn't have to be too complicated. Like this tutorial says, life isn't "Happily Ever After" so Always make it interesting, not only in a happy way. Now you've got the idea of who she is, make the design depending on a character. A farm lover? What about the colors blue, green, yellow and orange? A fashionista? What about pink, purple and red? Now you've gotten the design, again, make the cutie mark depending on the character. If you're pony creates clothes, what about diffrent colored patterns as cutiemark?

Hmm... it sounds stupid, but do you want to be your OC born fromΒ a special ship? As example, my OC Crystal Bitter is daughter of Nightmare Moon, but my OC Angela isn't born of a special ship, just a random idea. So, special ship? (If you want to have one And if you want to have a special ship, just tell me what your 2 favorite ponies are and i could help you with character, design and cutie mark!

All my oc's were daughters of the princesses and they were having dragon wings and black and red coat and mane, and a hornΒ

I created MY first OC when I was a 11 year old, a very young Pegasister first joining the fandom and I only made her until seeing a few episode being my 11 year old self. Mine was a Fluttershy re-color with a blue mane and white coat and matching blue eyes and was Fluttershy's sister. She hid her horn from Rainbow Dash with her mane when she raced her but Dash thought she saw something poking out of her mane and she did the same wing her wings with Rarity she somehow kinda noticed the wings and at Fluttershy's cottage they find out her secret and Fluttershy sees she all of a sudden has a horn now...
...Then I realize how stupid it was as soon as I was done drawing her and killed my OC by crumbling her up and throwing her in the trashcan.
I'm so glad younger me realized it after I was done drawing her.
I feel ya. it's okay. My art of her wasn't great either.Β

I killed my first OC ever when I was 11 as soon as I finished drawing her. She had Fluttershy's mane but it was blue with blue eyes and a white coat like Rarity's. Worse of all, she was Fluttershy's sister. Older sister actually. She hid her horn when flying with Rainbow Dash and her wings with Rarity but both of them kinda noticed. Then at Fluttershy's cottage they find out and Fluttershy grows a horn. Then I realized how dumb I was being since I was 11 and barely saw a few episodes joining the fandom. I then crumbled the paper as soon as I finished drawing my OC.Β
Even worse is that she was a blank flank still looking for her talent and Diamond Tiara and Sliver Spoon were impressed and treated the Cutie Mark Crusaders nicely after she gave a speech about talents.

Ah yes, the fandom purist/theocrat view on making an OC. I believe TVTropes covers this on their Fan Dumb page. Lemme go get that.

That sounds annoying, doesn't it? Guess what? That's exactly what you're doing here.
What you're implying is that OCs have to fit perfectly into the MLP universe and cannot try to be different, or they suck and you have to change them in order to recieve approval. Which, to be bluntly honest, is stupid. Being forced to follow a set of rules in order to make a "good" OC takes all of the fun out of making it. It makes it feel stilted, forced, and just not fun. And aren't you supposed to have fun with making ANY character, fandom-based OC or not? Isn't that the entire fucking drive behind making an OC? To have fun with them? I'd rather have an overpowered holier-than-thou Mary Sue than a character that I tried too hard to make look good according to these stilted, fandom-purist views.
Stop being a tit and let people have fun with making OCs.

do you know what "different taste" is?
everyone has different taste. there are certain colors that i might think look good together that you don't (hot pink and lime green, for example), and there are certain character design aspects that i think look good that you think look awful. you shouldn't say every single one of a person's designs are lazy at best, complete and utter shit at worst, before considering this.
yes, my oc designs are sub-par. i've seen much better. BUT, at the same time, i've seen way WORSE. you're lumping me in with oc designers who are FAR worse than me, because my designs aren't oh-so-absolutely-perfect like you want all of them to be. they're somewhere in the middle of the spectrum, actually- if you really think the things on my account are completely shitty, you're gonna want to look further, because OH BOY, IT GETS WORSE.
not everyone is going to have designs that fit up to your super-high standards; in fact you might want to lower your standards some, because for every good pony oc, there is a turd. in fact, there may be two turds for every good one. who the fuck knows, there are a lot of bad ocs out there. i've seen more truly bad ocs and ocs that will only look good to some people than ocs that i think will look good to everyone; springboarding off of that, there is NO way any mlp oc EVER will look good to EVERYONE. keep this in mind.
oh yeah, and you also missed the ENTIRE POINT of my original comment! 
(btw you MIGHT want to look at my main account. the adopt account is where i'm working with different self-imposed challenges and experimenting with design, so i've DEFINITELY crapped out a few turds on this account. there are some designs on this account even i can admit are pretty damn bad, like the recolor experiment which i completely regret.)
