Description
Just want to clear the air again- THIS is how I draw1. Sorry I started this a little late, I only decided to make this process deviation after I'd started it
2. Editing the lips- still not happy with them but I'll fix them later.
3. Use my Bridgette reference to draw out the torso and one arm,
4. Fix it up- had to make the wrist thinner, change the hood a bit, move her arm.
5. Sketch where I picture the legs going and draw them in.
6. Erase sketch, edit lines so one leg is behind the other, starting work on the feet~
7. Starting to come together! Using the Bridgette reference again, add in her clothing. I've also changed one strand of hair so that it's falling off her hand. Oh, and put in her ponytail!
8. Make sure lines connect, no line goes to far. Add in another hand. We've got our surfer girl <3

I've always wanted to ask...how do you get your lines to look so *clean*? My tablet/pen are pressure sensitive and I always have to fight to make my lines look even in thickness because my pen disagrees with me. Is there a setting you use to make all your strokes even or are you just THAT AWESOME?

What program do you use? I use Paint Tool SAI, and you can create a "linework" layer where you can use this curve tool to make lines all even

*gushing* Aw, she looks so pretty and peaceful! *^_^*. Are you going to use this lineart in other picture or it was just to show your drawing process? Because it'd be wonderful to see it colored and with a background, you did a fantastic job with her pose

Very nice use of persective here! And it's weird, but I use paint tool SAI too, hehe. Oh, and since you use it, I need to ask you something, because I know how to use it, but I'm having a little but very important issue when it comes to color it, I think I accidentally clicked something, and because of that, everytime I have colored an area with one color and then I color another area next to that one, the bucket fills both areas, so everything turns the same color! (if you understand the heck that I'm saying, please, help!)

Gah, I wish I could help you, but I've never used the fill bucket. If I want a specific area colored I use the magic wand to highlight it. It might be that you have a line that's not completely connected so it's spilling into another area?

I know, I use the magic wand too. I select and area, then I fill it with the bucket, then I select another area, and when I fill it with the bucket, the other area turns that color too!! It's incredibly annoying!
