The super mode for the Seizagers, it's Astral Mode. I decided to try out this possible design and I think it works well. Hopefully I'll get around to coming up with a method of how they reach this form and possibly making the rest of the team.Enjoy!

I'm really digging the emblem on his chest. The star like design really works well for the Zodiac motif. I'd be interested in seeing what the rest of the team looks like in their astral mode (I like the name as well).

When planning this team, I wanted some form of asymmetry for the suits and a concept that could be implemented into a super mode. I'm glad you like the concept and I plan on making more of the team some time. Damn overtime at work...

Looking at the piece again, I really like the shoulder and waist armour you gave him as well. I'll be honest, it gives me a few ideas for my own teams 
And I know how you feel about wanting to keep things asymmetrical. Even when I'm working on something simple like the anatomy it can be a pain to get right, lol.

Made a note on working of some of the other Astral Modes. Debating if Gold should get one.
Also, I hope my sketches I sent for your team helps. You can chose to use as little as you'd like and once you have a WIP, I can see what I can do to help.

Hmm. I'd say maybe go the Shinkenger/Samurai route and have it so only the core rangers get the upgrade.
And thanks again for that. I'm likely to keep them as you did, but possibly change out the black for a dark grey and MAYBE the gold for silver (to keep with the secondary theme). Not sure yet; once I get at least some of my trades done and I'm back on my main projects I'll look into it in more detail. However I am likely to primarily go with what you designed.

I think I might stick with that. Trust me, once I finish up with Shihaiger, then I'll revisit some of the older series I made, and finish up power-up versions and what not.

I think its best if everyone in the team OR the sixth get the power up. One thing I dislike about Kyoryuger is how Daigo is the only one to get the super form. Considering as how the series has put a bit too much of the "He's so awesome!" spotlight on him (although I do feel the others have had better development, bar maybe Amy) has put me off the idea of the super mode not being spread out amoung the entire team (unless it's for the sixth ranger).
Looking at this piece again, I am keen to see how the other super forms look. Plus considering how I feel your art has improved quite a bit recently, I am keen to see you come back to this and some of your other earlier teams.
I had hoped to spend time on my recent week off working on my Sentai teams, but sadly that didn't pan out as well as I had hoped. Hopefully I'll get to it soon.

I felt Carnival's design to be the worst looking power up in sentai history. I was surprised that Marvelous didn't have a power up, but rather Gai had it, so I was fine with that.
I do plan on coming back to some of my ideas and making additional rangers like I mentioned in a previous response. I'm curious how they will compare to what I already drawn.
Yeah, that happens. You have time off, hoping to work on art and look at the time and realize you have to go back to work!

I liked the fact Carnival's hands and legs would change the match the colour of the power he was borrowing, but that's about it. I think maybe there was too much white, which was odd as I don't think Gabutyra had much if any white on his design. I think maybe if the white detailing was another colour or just didn't exist it would have been a better design. On a bit of a tangent, I listened to a really good interview with Robert Baldwin earlier - www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKrRlS⦠. It's worth a listen if you get a spare hour and a half or so.
As for the Gold mode, all I can say is - www.youtube.com/watch?v=BD_W7Q⦠. I think of the various super forms I've seen it's probably one of my favourites. It's great looking armour (particularly if you removed the six ranger faces but I realise that is part of the aspect) and I used aspects of it as inspiration for Gokai White's Knight Armour. I read somewhere that the others could merge Ranger Keys so I wish they others had done the same to get their own Gold modes.
I know you've mentioned before your ideas for additional rangers. As I said before, I think the idea is amazing and can't wait to see what you do with it

I liked the 'mini' Mecha look to him do, but damn, there was a LOT going on with that design! Even my vinyl figure of him is shunned away as he's a visual eyesore amongst the other rangers. On a side note, I'm a bit mad at the fact that they never made a third set of Japanese vinyl figures. All I have is the main six, gray, cyan, and violet (Ulshade). That's right, no Torin, Navy, Violet Yayoi or Silver!
I can't believe I forgot about Gokai Red, Gold-mode. I'm a huge fan of Gokaiger's Final Wave (SMF's version is bleh) attacks and I think Red's Gold-mode attack is the best. Just having that trident hit like that is amazing!
Still...need...to...work...on...Gokai White's...keys....

Navy I feel would be unlikely as he will only appear in an epilogue, but I'm surprised at the lack of the others, which is a shame. I can't recall if I mentioned this but I did consider doing a female Navy at one point, based on the idea that Mikoto took over Tobaspino's power. Anyway, I do feel it's a shame (and a little surprising considering some of the keys that are to be released) that Silver and a female Violet weren't released. Also I've not seen the vinyl figures; what are they like. I'm guessing they're like the Funko Pop figures (which I am quickly amassing a small army of 
That video clip is pretty much what made me want to watch Gokaiger. And I agree that the way Red uses the trident is awesome. He seems to handle it in a casual, cocky but extremely skilled fashion. It doesn't come across in a Mary Sue sense, which I feel could have been easily done which I feel adds to it. I also feel the Final Wave itself is an amazing attack, one which I feel worked well with equalising all of the Gokaigers as a team. I especially liked it when Joe and Luka would use just swords, while Don and Ahim wielded two guns, focusing on a final wave that focused on their strengths. I am considering doing a White/Orange/Violet final wave, especially if either one of us goes down the "Cannon Blaster" angle as White's WOC.
And I need to work on a few keys myself. As I mentioned in a recent journal my four day weekend sadly proved to be busier (or sicker) than I intended but hey ho.

I ended up buying a small KyoryuSilver keychain to have a Silver figure. That also reminds me that the second wave of SMF figures came out and they are making Reds from previous series, so that's always a plus in my mind. The vinyl figures are exact replicas of the rangers in their suits with no distortions.
Oh boy. Funko Pop. I have a small army as well and since they release anything and everything, I can't help but keep collecting!
The concept of White, Orange and Violet performing a Final Wave has me inspired and will definitely come back to that idea! Possibly have Orange and Violet with the sword swipes and White with the cannon shot to combine?
Sorry to hear that. I'm retreating to the cottage this weekend for a birthday celebration with my family so hopefully I can bust out some drawing!

I'm curious to know where you got it and what other characters are available as I'd be keen to get the Gokaigers if they're still available (unlikely) and maybe ToQ 6gou. Sodding bloody collectable models taking up space in my flat
I may look at getting some of the sixth rangers (probably MMPR White) when they're available but it depends on how they turn out. I really like the S H Figarts White/Kiba Ranger and have been tempted to get him (and Lucario) but held off for the moment. I do also like the "armoured White Ranger" figure that has appeared on eBay a few times but it's always at quite a high price.
Ahh okay. And tell me about it! I have fourteen at last count, ordered three of eBay a few days ago (He-Man, Aquaman and Wonder Woman) and am waiting for the Ash Williams one to get released as I placed a pre-order. THEN there's the Firefly, Guardians of the Galaxy and Ghostbuster ones to order when they're available. I oriignally only planned to get four - Knuckles, Donatello, White Ranger and Superman - and call it "Heroes of my Childhood", where as now I have characters I've grown to like as I've grown older, i.e. the Xenomorph from Alien, Robocop and the aforementioned Ash Williams. I am glad their Marvel lines are purely movie based because if they EVER went down the "different costumes of Spider"-Man route I'd probably become bankrupt...
Well my original sketch was going to have Orange dashing towards an unseen opponent, sword poised to slash while Violet gives him support with the pistol in one hand and the flail in another. However I may draw White in that pose instead with the cannon and maybe have Violet do some kind of leaping slash (perhaps similar to one of the pics I'm working on), as I'd like to do a final wave/attack picture that focuses on the characters using their unique weapons. However you're more than welcome to play around the with the concept.
This weekend we have another "Bank Holiday" so fingers crossed I'll get something done, and I've noticed in my updates your birthday is around the corner. I had planned to work on the aforementioned 50th Sentai tribute but for some reason thought your birthday was in August, not May...

That would be the keychain! They still have a Gabutyra that I might pick up, but for now, Silver's doing well for me. The set had Silver, Gabby, some of the villains and gaburevolvers. I bought it from an anime shop in California from eBay by the way.
If I'm not mistaken, I think I have seen the Armored White Ranger in stores here for the store price. Let me know if you're still interested and I'll begin the hunt for one.
I currently have 22 of the Funko Pops. Mainly Game of Thrones, Marvel and DC characters, some Walking Dead, Ninja Turtles and a few game ones. My friend who owns the comic book store has the whole set of Thundercats and I just might have to pay him another visit to pick those up. And I hate to say it, but the Marvel ones aren't strictly movie based and I've seen some of them popping up like various Deadpools, etc.
Still need to play around with Final Wave. Nothing thus far.

Could you please share me their eBay shop; I'd be curious to see what they have on offer. I'll admit I'm probably wanting to get a ToqGer 6 model at some point when he's available so I may see if one pops up on there.
I'm REALLY tempted but I may leave it. As I mentioned in another post, I managed to get my hands on the Battle Ready White Ranger which I'm really chuffed about and I'm more likely to get the S H Figarts White Ranger figure if I got for anything like that.
Most of the ones I've gotten are DC heroes, like MoS Superman, N52 Wonder Woman and Aquaman, Pre52 Superboy, as well as a mixture of characters I liked as a kid like Ninja Turtles, Ghostbusters, Power Rangers etc. and characters I've grown to like as an adult like the Alien and Robocop (and Ash Williams when the bloody thing turns up). Funnily enough I've not gotten any of the Game of Throne ones. I considered getting one of the Direwolves, mainly Ghost, but considering some of my favourite characters from the books aren't seen as "main characters" by the TV series I doubt I'll see them made, which is annoying.
I actually clean forgot about the Final Wave picture I started a few weeks back; I need to get back on top of that concept.

That's fine. As always, I'm willing to help out. Just last night, I spend over $70 helping out a friend with his Gundam collection. (Out of curiousity but are you a Gundam fan? If so, then we have a whole new topic for discussion!)
You'd be surprised at how rapidly Funko spits out the Pop bobbleheads especially seeing how popular Game of Thrones has become. I noticed that there are over 100 Walking Dead bobbles, so I wouldn't be surprised if they made just about every character and their grandma from GoT. I have a Ghost, by the way, along with two of the dragons, Brienne, Jon, and the Hound.
Man, making a master list of everything I need to draw is just a large pain! I'm making a note of Final Wave right now...done.

No worries. Perhaps when ToQger keyrings pop up either one of them will appear. I'm not sure if you've watched the episodes or not, but from the clips I've seen of ToQger 6, he has quickly become my favourite of the roster (and I've yet to even WATCH the series!). He seems to have a bit of a stoic but caring badass angle, similar to characters like Joe/Gokai Blue, Zoro from One Piece and Piccolo from DBZ. I've never been a big fan of the "I'm a badass and don't give a shit about anyone else!" style, like Vegeta from DBZ.
And a little. I watched Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz when they were aired in the UK and got some of the GW tapes and DVDs. However no other Gundam series ever got released in the UK, at least on TV and I lost interest in it when I got into manga. I did collect some of the figures and model kits and I have thought about selling the latter but some were damaged and all of them had been built so I don't think it would be worth the time TBH.
I'm hoping for Oberyn Martell. I really liked him in the book and I think the actor they chose for him worked well. I have considered getting Ghost myself as I do like how the direwolves look but otherwise I'm going to pass until they do Davos or Stannis. Believe it or not, but they are actually two of my favourite characters. Davos is a POV character in the books (if you've not read them) and I found it quite interesting looking at the world and the king he swore loyalty to through his eyes, particuarly when Stannis did things he didn't agree with. And I found Stannis to be quite interesting as a character. However I feel those two are too "niche" to be released as funko pop figures.
I used to make a few of them myself but I find a lot of the time I keep chopping and changing my ideas. I have about four pictures that are still in the sketching phase and wips that are over a year old that I need to get back to and finish, and that's not counting some of the sketches I've done in my sketchbook but have yet to scan!
