Electro + Two-Face
                DA Maxell Dent ran for election on a platform of ridding New Gotham of organized crime, or at least, more realistically, drastically cutting down on it. He won the election and proceeded to do as he promised. He built his cases meticulously and was able to convict several lower level lieutenants in a regular organized crime ring. However, he wanted to set his sights on bigger fish, and went after mobsters in the employ of Maggedon, an inter-gang of families that used super villains and extra-terrestrial weaponry in their crimes. The heads of the various Maggedon families took notice.
                Max had worked his way through college and law school in his father’s electrical business, and he knew his way around a circuit. In spite of his responsibilities, if there was electrical work to be done at his house, he would do it. He even volunteered to work on electrical issues at friends and colleagues’ homes. He claimed the work helped him think, and he would come up with new approaches to cases, or clarify a closing argument while working on the familiar of wiring, switches, and breakers.
                New Gotham police had managed to land a major officer in the family of Silvio “the Argenti” Falcone. Silvio paid a visit to Max personally, and urged him to drop the case, even offering to “make it worth his while”. Max threw him out of his office, even threatening to have him arrested for attempted bribery.
                Angered, the Argenti decided on a different tactic. He approached one of Dent’s friends, and through money and strongarm coercion, had him request some electrical help from the DA. Frustrated with the encounter with the Argenti, Dent took him up on the request. Silvio had access to technology Maggedon had obtained from Thanoseid’s agents on Ragnaroq, one of the Nine Worlds. He had his agents use the technology to create a trap for Dent.
                When Dent worked on the electrical systems, the trap went off and cascaded extra-terrestrial electricity over half of his body, warping and disfiguring him. Scarred and badly injured over 50% of his body, Dent should have died, but somehow, the strange energies actually mutated him, giving him the power to control electricity, to cast lightning bolts, and even to “ride” bolts of power from one part of the city to another.
                Dent’s mind fractured, seeing himself as two halves in one body. The dedicated DA was largely overshadowed, and even then his dedication and quest to see criminals “punished” was severely warped… but the other half was completely evil. Dent would make decisions by flipping his “lucky” coin, which had also absorbed some of the Ragnaroq energies. When the regular side came up, Dent’s twisted, but somewhat “normal” personality would get to decide, when the melted/scarred side came up, his evil side would come out.
                Calling himself AC/DC, Dent decided to avenge himself on the Argenti, and ravaged much of the family and driving Silvio Falcone to flee New Gotham. Declaring himself the head of the family now, AC/DC became a criminal gang leader, though his affiliation and willingness to work with Maggedon, or truly, any of Nightweb’s rogues… depends on the flip of a coin.
                AC/DC has found himself incarcerated in Arkham Island’s maximum security level, designed to hold superhuman and extraterrestrial prisoners. The Black Vault, as it’s known, is the project and brainchild of Amanda “the Tower” Fisk, and she has recruited AC/DC (amongst others) into the Suicide Six, for specialized missions.

Meta-Backstory

When I decided on this project to work on while recovering from foot surgery, I chatted to my buddy’s on Discord, and we brainstormed some ideas. This idea came from @mrpatduke to give credit where it’s due, and I just loved the concept from the start.   I drew the characters in a random order, but when I finished this, I knew it had to be the first villain I posted. I really hope you like this one! More to come!

Maggedon= Maggia + Intergang (so named as Intergang got tech from Apokalips, and Maggia starts with Magg- sorry, not sorry. I like it 😊 )
Silvio “The Argenti” Falcone= Silvio Manfredi + Carmine Falcone. Carmine’s mob name was the “Roman” and Argenti is latin for “Silver”, so that’s where that came from. He will probably return for revenge on AC/DC with an exoskeleton.
Thanoseid= Thanos and Darkseid (of course)
Ragnaroq = Apokalips + Niffleheim (probably)
