Description And now...among the most auspicious people to ever cross Cauldron. The Dwarves. Truth be told, I should really pay MUCH more attention to these guys knowing how darn important they are! But hey, better late than never. XD

Anyway, how about some....

--------------------------------

MORE  FACTS:
- A common form of propaganda Hypnos used against the Dwarves was to claim that they weren't Elves at all. Rather, claiming that they evolved from maggots, who had eaten the flesh of a Jotunn to gain sapience. This was to propagate them as a race who relied on higher powers to be worth anything.

- A lot of Dwarvish technology nowadays is experimental. It is not yet released to the public, because their properties aren't entirely understood, even by them. This is why they have founded the Gizmo Guild, as well as the many research labs that they run inside of it. However, they did collaborate heavily with other races to help rebuild Cauldron after the Elvish Empire fell.

- In the wake of the Empire, the Dwarves have plans to remake several legendary items using rare technology they have found. I.e. a heat-seeking missile launcher named after Gungnir. A ring made of nanites that can self-replicate named after Draupnir. And more. However, many of these are still concepts.

- During the Empire's reign, the High Elves used to give the Dwarves free booze. This was NOT out of any politeness, but rather an effort to keep the Dwarves intellectually stunted, and prone to fighting among themselves. Dwarves today tend to vehemently refuse alcohol, and solve problems through intelligent solutions, so as not to remind them of a painful past.

- The Dwarves had sympathized with High Elves trying to escape their Kingdom's abuse. And the rebel High Elves had conceded that the Dwarves rightly deserve to have influence over the world. Therefore, the High Elves actually have a deep respect for the Dwarves.

- However, the Dwarves DO share a rivalry with the Birdfolk, seeing them as an overly pious, superstitious lot whose religious views prevent them from moving forward as a society. While on the flipside, the Birdfolk see the Dwarves as beneficial to the world, but largely disregarding Ziz's teachings, and to some extent, even ungrateful to Ziz for trying to replace his magical gifts with new technology that's "cut off" from their god. It hasn't escalated to war by any means, but debates between the two are still ongoing.

Well...to be honest not as much as they used to. At least not the majority of the population. The Elves, via the Diminishing Spell, had also stunted their magic ability greatly, to prevent uprisings against them.

As of yet this effect hasn't been entirely undone. But some Dwarves do still show an unusual affinity for Earth magic.

Albeit Dwarvish technology usually ensures they hardly ever use it anyway. With some exceptions here and there.
