Description My entry for 's Animae contest, as detailed here: [link] When I saw she was doing a crossover contest, I immediately flashed on a conversation we had back when she did a (fantastic) trade picture of my Malachi and mentioned that her Messirama might like to "make his acquaintance"... So I just HAD to. I couldn't help it. It definitely looks like she might be getting the best of him... it's not every day our Captain Hunt meets a woman more manipulative and conniving than he is.

I really hope you like it, Serena, and that it's in character enough for you.

Thanks so much! I really do have a tendency to default to purple with my shading, it's awful. But I can't knock it, it's a great color! *Igloinor , *bardoftheseas and =ultema also use a TON of purple in their work; if you haven't seen them before, check 'em out, they're all GREAT artists.

Ah, thanks! I actually started designing one a couple years back... I did the Moon card (which is in my gallery somewhere), but sort of abandoned the project midstream (it's SO labor-intensive, I can see why artists sometimes spend their entire lives developing them).

Oh, thank you! I'm really glad that came across... when I was drawing this, I was thinking about my character and her character and who would end up being "dominant" in that situation, but I honestly couldn't decide because they're both totally unused to anyone showing them up. (Thinking more about it, I bet it's her in control of this situation, but she's probably allowing him to think he is. )

She's always struck me as a riot too, actually. =NadezhdaVasile has a ton of really great drawings of her, so she was super-fun to do.

Somehow they don't strike me as the type of people who would mind too much if they had an intruder... he I KNOW is a bit of an exhibitionist. I'm glad you like it! AND his hair, doing the hair was a bit of a pain but I feel like it came out all right.

Thank you so much!! I've seen some that I really like, definitely (I LOVED ~oOLuMeNOo 's character with Cat), so I'm really flattered you think so. I hope I do well, I worked really hard on this one. Though even if I don't, I'm still proud of it! ^____^

Nom, I like colours in this one, especially their skin tones and the rich purple. Maybe some more shadows on the curtain might have been a good idea to give those folds some more depth - but overall this is probably one of my favourites of yours.

For some reason jpeg compression makes everything come out much lighter than it is in the psd! In the working document the folds actually do look a good deal deeper, but I didn't want to mess around with levels once I got it compressed to one layer in a jpeg because it'd mess with the bodies and RRRRFEFJVNDKWEPMFPRRR. BUT ANYWAY. Thank you, and I'm glad you like it. I was pretty pleased with the end result (lighter colors notwithstanding)... and hey, look! A pretend lazy-background!

Ooo thank you!! I'm glad you think the surrounding scene actually fits the characters, I was thinking of Messirama's signature color. (How he got into her room, of course, I'll leave up to everyone's imagination, since I can't imagine it was anything good. )

Aw, thank you!! I really like them as a couple, they're both total horndogs. The colors were fun since I don't use really dark ones like these too often, but I feel like I'm getting a little better at it!

I think I enjoyed drawing this WAY too much. You know what's funny, as I was working on the colors I was talking to *Dwenda on MSN and sent her the WIP, and she told me it looked pretty hot and I was like "Really? You think? " Thing is, I'd had this lineart sitting half-finished on my drafting table for so long that I was seeing it every day and it totally lost all sense of hotness for me (even though it started out that way) because it was just so familiar.

Either way, I'm really glad you like it. Drawing Naked!Malachi is way too enjoyable.

And it DOES look hot, I wonder why you didn't see it at first XDD maybe because you "know" Malachi better than we all do XD

CLEARLY THAT IS THE ONLY SOLUTION

The lack of hotness was seriously only due to the fact that I was looking at it half-finished for over a month. My drafting table sits literally right next to my computer so whenever I'm on there I'd look over and think "Oh look, Messirama boobies." It became so passe after a while. Plus, there's also the fact that Malachi is a tremendous jerk. (Odd that I can forgive Zarael for the MONUMENTAL EVIL, but Malachi's occasional less-than-totally-evil jerkassery is more of a problem! )
