Since I've updated my pic for the theme 11 of my 100-theme-list, people keep on asking me about the glow-effect I used for this pic.That's why made this tutorial for you as a Valentines gift.
In this tuti you find the basics for the glow-effects, some tricks and advices. It is covering the basics only, but actually you really do not need to know more about this anyway, because the best way to learn is trying it by yourself. I just like to give you some lead
I really hope it will help you.

I've been wondering how to do glowing effects. Hopefully this will translate well enough into GIMP...I'm going to need it when the main character of my latest storyline is a Fire Mage. If I don't get glow effects down, I'll have some sad-looking fire.
I appreciate these tutorials; they're very useful to me. Even if I use a different program, they do sort of point me in the right direction at the least. Keep it up.
