Kamen Rider Revice — Description

Part 3/3 of the February contest, here's Kamen Rider Revi and Vice (Revice).

As people will likely know by now, I've largely fallen out of love with Rider as a franchise. I haven't really watched any of Revice, haven't really even tried whereas I at least tried a little bit with Zi-O, Zero-One, and Saber as they were airing. Revi and Vice's designs are cool though!

Revi feels somewhat a return to classic forms a bit, and I do appreciate how his alt forms don't change his color scheme much. That being said, some of them are absolutely ridiculous looking and I've never really loved the 'past Rider powers' thing. It's handled a bit better in this series than it ever has been in Rider before, I think. Vice is an interesting case, especially with the armor just being atop his demon design. The like, "stitching" his armor has all over makes him seem like a gigantic puppet. I also think it's a cool detail that Vice's fluorescent blue accent color lines are muted when he becomes corporeal as a Rider. I do like the t-rex inspirations in both and Revi's helmet might be one of my favorites in recent years. And I think it's kinda clever that Revi has a stylized 5 on his chest and Vice has a stylized 0, symbolizing the series being the 50th anniversary of the franchise. I'm not a huge fan of the salmon-pink coloring though; something a lil more pink or magenta could've been better, but who knows.
