Here's the final or the Cab Ride. I ended up cropping out a large portion of Ecto and unfortunately Winston got the axe, largely because the whole thing just felt too busy and detracted too much from the main idea behind the image, which was Venkman accidentally getting into the haunted cab. Hope you dig it.By the by, I'm a hopeless colorist, so if anyone ever wants to take a stab at it, feel free! I can post the lines for any picture or email them if anyone wants a shot

I wish they kept the cheeky ghost part in the movie right after this it would've been fun to see a ghost scare a bunch of women out of their clothes I think anyway

Awesome design and concept. Having the Ghostbusters was a nice touch. Looks a lot like the new IDW comic style.

Yeah, I've had some pretty horrifying ones while traveling the USA, too. This was actually inspired by my own hopes that I would be similarly saved during one such taxi ride myself...!

Complete adoration for another piece of Tristan Jones art, though it feels unfair that once again Winston loses his time in the spot light. He got some of the best lines in the game to. But it looks like you were right, cropping it down has made the cab feel as important as it should in this piece.
Is there a idea behind Peter getting in the cab? I know you planned to write a comic arc, so was this going to be part of it. I can only imagine Peter turned down riding with Winston and Ray so he didn't get anything on his suit.

I dunno, I just feel like colors are my weakness. I'm always so used to just the pen or pencil and having never really colored things properly before that it feels that way!
The idea was simply that he was meant to be going to dinner with someone, but accidentally gets into the cab without checking the driver. He gets on his cellphone and calls for help, but the PKE interferes with the reception and he isn't able to get a clear message out. Eventually they figure out what's going on and a high-speed chase ensues.

Maybe its all the love I have for such artists as Mike Mignola but I prefer the darker colouring and that worn feel. And, if you were "better" at colouring, it most likely would'nt look right. Who do you consider a good colourist?

As far as colorists go -- Blonde ( ) is an ace colorist (who also has a GB connection), Val Staples ( ), Andrew Cramer ( ) are all great colorists too. There are heaps out there!

Your colouring suits your art, their colouring would not. Too bright.

It depends on the art though, I'm sure their coloring styles would adjust to accommodate art styles.

I wouldn't say there's anything wrong with your style.
But I would focus more on clarity of the art and leading the eye.
The piece is pretty dark, and it's hard to make out what I'm looking at, or where my eyes are supposed to go.
You can create the illusion of darkness by using cooler and/or more muted hues, and still show much of your lineart.

I think it's just because I never used to color anything in ANY way prior to discovering Photoshop in fear of ruining what I thought were decent drawings that I'm always second guessing anything I do in color.
