I trust I really don't need to make too big an introduction to this character. It's one of the bigger animated franchises in history, with the original anime, the various attempted sequels/continuations since the 80's, the live-action movie, the comics, and so on. It's Speed Racer, (aka: Go Mifune in Japan) the driver of the amazing 'Mach 5' race car.Tried to make it in the style of the 'Tatsunoko Fight' sprites. Which is appropriate, as Tatsunoko Productions created the iconic anime in question.
Had originally intended to make 'Racer X', the mysterious masked racer who's secretly Speed's brother Rex, who everyone thought dead after a devastating car crash.
Used Heita Zinnai, from Big Bang Beat, as the base. Used the hair from the Jump Ultimate Stars sprite for Yusuke (Yu Yu Hakusho), and crafted the helmet from the helmet of Ken the Eagle (Gatchaman) from "Tatsunoko Fight".

Hehe; Muryama was the fictional Prime Minister of Japan in my rendition of the shin Godzilla series.
The sprite I used for him included that Yuuske hair up there; I just never got around to using him because the series had to be cancelled.
