I've been meaning to do these for a long time. Diddy Kong Racing is by far my favorite game, its one of those I can beat 100% in a single sitting. *I put Conker in his Bad Fur Day clothes, since in his DKR outfit he looked like he was immitating Superman*Krunch - The worst Character Ever, but somehow the Computer players always get him 2nd-3rd
Diddy- I have a love hate Relation with him, I love him in general but I freaking hate him in this game, toughest bastard to beat I swear.
Drumstick- Well, he's good in a plane, and you have to run over him with your car to unlock him.
Bumper- I dont ahve anything bad to say about him, or anything good, he wa just There.
Banjo - Hated playing as him, but liked his games
Conker - He sure has changed alot since being a smiley squirrel racing furry creatures to what he is now
Tiptup - He's good, appeared in Banjos games, seems younger than he actually is
T.T. - Hardest damn character to unlock, but he is worth the trouble
Pipsy- I will just say Pipsy is a Badass, if I am playing as Pipsy, I will kick your ass, no lie, this mouse knows how to win
Timber - My second favorite, not that good of a racer, but I like tigers, and Characters with Baseball caps, so Tiger + Baseball Cap = <3

Well, Krunch's steering is pretty bad, but he can do some sick drifting if you drift the opposite way you would think to, right before a turn. Β I was never good at it, it takes serious skill. Β But I agree totally. Β The only vehicle Krunch was OK in was the hovercraft because it helped me steer better, because there, the steering was TOO MUCH for once, ha.

And, in the DS Version, there were even TALLER characters (Like Wizpig and Taj), whose steering was so bad it was good! Β TOO good! Β I remember freaking out when I was expecting them to suck at steering, but they were actually pro at it! Β xD

IKR?! I used to play as them JUST to see how they would perform!
Instead of sucky-steering, they were PROS at it!

I always used those characters for sharp steering, and then, on the wish race (level creator), I would draw a really hard track with a lot of hills and sharp turns, and T.T would be laps behind! INSTANT PROFIT!

Looks like you played the DS version, whereas this character sprite sheet is about the N64 one; maybe the game's easier on the DS one
(Great sprite sheet, by the way! I was terrible at the game, but I heard Krunch was in fact one of the fastest racers of the game -terrible acceleration and handling, but a damn high top speed-, making it a tough opponent. Kind of like Bowser or DK Junior in Super Mario Kart? My two favourite racers were Tiptup and Timber :-D)

Hehe. I love seeing where Conker was to where he is now. I've been writing for him in a fan fic, and I gotta say...RARE did a good job on his new personality. He's so fun to write for.

I was just looking through your old stuff again... and I found the Diddy Kong Racing sprite sheet! You did great jobs on those sprites... it was a shame I didn't play DKR until I got the DS version... and even then, it didn't have Banjo or Conker. After watching a couple Let's Plays of Banjo and Conker's games, I have to say that Rare made the best games on the Nintendo 64. Unfortunately, I was a Playstation guy at the time of N64's release, so I only played Playstation games, like Crash, Spyro, and a few Looney Tune games that I played.
You know, if Driz somehow makes the family visit, I wouldn't be surprised to see that Conker sprite in a comic. But that's for another time.
Anyway, you did pretty good!
