-----Summary----

Yowlers are friendly creatures and usually boast brighter colours. They are smaller dragons who love company and to curl around anything they can. A yowler's lifespan is very long and some yowlers can be eternally youthful- remaining a yowling for life. Once a yowler has found a home he or she is given a band around one of his front legs or tail with a number code to show ownership. They enjoy wearing scarves, anything with bells on them and collars. These creatures are considered lucky and if befriended, you will have great fortune!

----Origins-----

Yowlers share the same origins as their Heldig cousins who are larger in size. Both species are "lucky" dragons who first began appearing in Norway and traveled across the planet.

-----Domestication----

Quite tameable, these critters enjoy companionship. They love to be loved - while they have kind hearts, a Yowler under the ownership of someone evil will do quite the opposite of good and will be considered unlucky. They spread misfortune and are a sign of bad luck. Under evil ownership a yowler will molt its brighter feathers and appear darker in colour.

-----Physical description-----

Yowlers are feline/avian like dragons. Their snout is more of a small, hard beak. They do have teeth, though their teeth are small and serrated towards the front and get larger towards the back. They have two sets of whiskers, one above their eyebrows and one on their cheeks. These whiskers are always coloured and range in size from long to short. Feathers run along their bodies and grow longer atop their head, stretching from mid back to mid tail, under their front legs and at the tips of their tails. Yowler's eyes are pure black and relatively large, though an unlucky yowler may have red eyes. Front legs are scaled and have very sharp talons- three toes in the front and one toe in the back while their back legs resemble that of a feline. Bodies are quite long and their tails are the same length as their bodies howver, their body averages to the same size as a savannah cat (18 inches at shoulder) though some can grow to be a bit bigger. Their ears are very feline like, lined with feathers that reach to their jawlines. Tail's end boasts a plume of feathers. These critters can molt their feathers regularly.

Hunting and feeding behaviors

They enjoy small rodents, insects, fish, birds, and a healthy blend of fruits, berries and seeds.

-----Communication----

They communicate with primarily bird sounds. Squarks, trills, coos, and the likes while they can also purr and create long distant yowls. They are extremely vocal, especially around others of their kind. It's not uncommon for them to bob their heads and bodies as if to dance when in a good mood followed by happy trills and warbles. They can talk/understand other creatures however humanoid creatures cannot understand them and must rely o their large array of sounds to understand them.

These guys live anywhere really! (Except in water, they are air breathers)
