Pearl — Description
Red agate approached the diamond, her orange pearl in tow, he was semi-reclined on his throne with his head resting in his palm. He was staring out of the gothic archway of a window wistfully. He had obviously been sat like that for a while now, as a thin layer of dust had began to collect on his form. Red Agate cleared her throat to get his attention and, when he bolted upright, she bowed an saluted.
"My diamond, I am the Red Agate who was sent from sector P43 to give you the report about-" She cut herself off as she turned to look at her pearl who was stood awe struck, gazing up at the monarch. Red Agate gave her a quick smack on the back before hissing "Bow! Where are your manners?"
The pearl snapped out of her trance and curtsied politely, earning a tut from her owner "That's not how your greet a diamond!" she bellowed and turned to Pumpkin Diamond "My forgiveness my Diamond, she's from earth" The red agate said in an embarrassed tone as she bowed again.
The tall diamond leaned down and gazed at the pearl with a curious look on his face "How quaint! She greets gems like the little humans do!" He smiled, earning another apology from the flustered Agate. "No need Agate" He chirped "I think it's rather cute" He paused and extended his palm to the pearl, beckoning her stand on it so he could get a better view of her.
"Now tell me, miss pearl, what is it like on Earth?" He asked, the pearl looked back to her Agate as if asking for permission to speak.
"Well-" she began.
"Oh now, my diamond I'm sure you don't want to know about that boring hunk of rock" The agate interjected, clearly bothered that she wasn't being prioritised over a pearl. In fact she was being completely ignored by the diamond.
He whipped his head around to look at the officer, clearly bothered, and said "Miss Agate may I borrow your pearl for a while?" He asked but, before she was able to respond, he had already left the throne room and was walking into the gardens issuing a swift "Thanks" to the Agate. She stood there in pure shock, her mouth agape in a mixture of anger and confusion over what had just happened. Clearly angered by this she left. Pumpkin Diamond just assumed she had vanished and kept the pearl as a sort of lost and found deal. It was a very strange ordeal.
