Infinite Control...13 — Description

“Feel the might of Mjolnir, dishonourable varlet!

…Friend Superman, Thor shall be right with you..”

“Ennfh! Any help you can provide is more than welcome Thor. This guy is tough. Now I know what it feels like when people run into me!”

Osborn couldn’t believe it. Everything had been going so well… Sentry and Ares had prevented Ms Marvel from escaping and would have been dragging the defiant bitch down to where she would have been confined in the lab. Then he could have dismissed them, in order to have her delivered to his scientists reconstructing the Mind Ripper. Once subjected to that process, she would have had the insolence torn right out of her. Enslaving her and giving him total access to all her secrets, not to mention her curvaceous ass. From then he could have expanded his plans further. Perhaps targeting the females most closely associated with that accursed wall crawler. And from there, who knows what he could have accomplished? But now it was all falling apart. Somehow the Asgardian Thor had returned, and discovered the planned abduction. And worse still he had brought some champion, who against the odds actually seemed to even be getting the better of the unstoppable Sentry. Who was this Superman?... That had dropped out of this rectangular light that had suddenly appeared.

But before Osborn could contemplate his misfortune any further, he felt the stinging blast of Ms Marvel’s photon blast. And knew no more.

Ms Marvel, for her part, was exceedingly grateful for this unexpected but timely assistance. There were few Avengers who were a more of a welcome backup than Thor. But this blue garbed stranger, seemed to be every bit as tough, and with him and now Thor teaming up against Sentry, it looked like this would be a battle that the good guys would actually win. Carol breathed a sigh of relief as Sentry went down. His grip had been inescapable. Who knows what evils Osborn might have subjected her to, if these two hadn’t intervened?

“Thanks Guys! Boy am I glad you two showed up! Osborn spoke of an adamantium/vibranium restraint chair downstairs. We should probably get Sentry put in that before he wakes up. Then I’ll look around for evidence of whatever Osborn was looking to accomplish. Sentry isn’t a bad guy. He’s just…easily misled. If we can show him that Osborn was evil we’ll have another ally on our sides. And then it shouldn’t take long for us to demolish whatever plans Osborn had…as if they had never been…”
