Description
In these days of fear of global warming, it's nice to see that there are still a few activists who care enough to take a stand!(... but I got to say, she has a couple of globes that I'D like to warm!)
The only problem is this tree is meant for the paper that my book is printed on! ('Sensual Distress' available at Amazon.com! .... subtle plug!
)That means she'll just have to be tied up someplace else!
Any ideas?

Very simple game: about halfway up a redwood tree where there aren't any protruding branches or free-climbable surfaces, slide her into a vertical cutout of her silhouette that's about two feet deep. No rope or physical bonds, just "don't lean forward". An option could be given to add a waist-high upward facing peg-like protrusion to keep her in place......

I like that one guy's idea to have the tree sent off to the sawmill with her still tied, or have it where instead of a bulldozer pushing it over, have a log-cutting vehicle beginning to cut on the opposite side of the tree! XD

You're stuff is amazing. Tie her up on the bottom of a wooden bunk bed (of course we know where the logs came from) and then have some sort of scenario on top bunk. YOUR STUFF IS AMAZING!

Thanks! I'm very similar in that I look for beauty in the lines of a piece rather than the piece as a whole.
With the hair, I read once that Adam Hughes (hallowed be his name... he's actually HERE on dA! Check him out!) spends as much time on hair as he does with the girls body, because the hair, he says, has it's own life to add to the picture.
With the bark, I was taking a tip from the great Manga artists who often do cartoonish characters with hyper-realistic backgrounds to bring you deeper into the world while the iconography of the characters allows for the reader to more easily identify with them. (That's all from Scott Mclouds "Understanding Comics")

As for the little snapshot into how I work... I actually have photo albums full of all that stuff... but I usually keep it to myself... Trust me, you don't want to get me started!
But I HAVE to know if the 80's comic you were referencing is from a-ha's 'Take On Me' Video! (If you look at my front page under "Favorite Band" you will see I am the World's biggest a-ha fan! I have all NINE albums! YES, they had nine! AND Morten Harket's solo album!)

As much as everyone loves a good saw mill scene, I believe you already mastered that in a previous picture. Therefore, the obvious route this lovely damsel must take, being so devoted to her "save the plant-life" cause and all, is to remain tied and tape gagged, removed from the tree so as not to stain your much needed paper, and fed to a carnivorous plant thats gone weeks without a good meal. Saving plants, making paper, everyone wins!
