These are my four Return Cards for the Dean Yeagle MANDY set. This set was a blast to work on and I had alot of fun trying to think up stuff for Mandy to do on each card.I'll post up the full set later of course.

Yeah, some of the shots I chose for this set are definitely not in Mandy's usual realm but that's what makes them fun and different rather than the usual standard poses. Glad you liked 'em and you'll see even more Mandy wackiness when I post up the entire set I did.

My personal fave is the last one on the right. For me it felt like I really got in sync with what Mandy meant as a character. Of course once the full set is up you'll see other takes I did of Mandy. There's a Mandy in the Machine shot I think you'll like.

I do that to my wife all the time and she HATES it but it's a funny reaction none the less until she pounds me in the bicep effectively turning me into a blubbering mess.

Maybe it's the ponytails but I've never heard of Moxi until now. As for her looking like Betty from the Archie books, maybe it's because I drew those cards too? I dunno.

itΒ΄s fun how you portrayed the archie guys all in same pose (cause they look all thesame - the real ones) and yes, Moxi was just an experience i made and i guess only a few other kids in the mid 90ies.

I have to admit that the Archie stuff was a bit of a challenge to draw-the simple popular characters always are for me because they make such great use of the few lines to establish form it's hard to do without losing some of the original intent.
I did do other cards for that set, with more variety but I just wanted to capture the "look" of the Archies as much as I could without outright copying it from the old books. That and doing the same pose is a hacky thing to do and I'm a hack, so...

The cotton candy card was my wife's idea, she wanted Mandy to have a look that said, "What? I'm not sharing it with you!"
