Thanks! I want to do more pictures like these but it's a matter of finding the time between comics and commissions. And yes, they are. Back in the age of sailing ships, scurvy was a common and fatal disease which was caused by a vitamin C deficiency. The reason a Vit C deficiency was more an issue than other kind was because Vitamin C is much harder for humans to obtain on a sailing ship because it's present in only more specific foods. At the end of the 1400s, they found that citrus fruits were able to curb scruvy and they were brought onboard, as Vitamin C is something you need to replace daily. The English mandated a lime juice drink for the royal navy and merchant navy, which is where the term "Limey" originated from.

I was trying to find a way to paint trees without making them a singular amorphous blob like is common in anime backgrounds, I wanted more detail because it's close up and has sparse foilage. So I used this "vector" style and I think I'll keep it from now on.
