one note- it's a coffin.
EDIT: I should add that there's allot of Art Noveau / late 19th + early 20th century influnce here. Abit of Mucha, Klimt, and a touch of Van Gogh. And heavy on the digital side as well.
Also the 3rd name for this piece. I'm just not comfortable with any name i choose.

I definetly see the influence of Klimt in this. It's very beautiful, I especially like the white accent you have around her hair.

I like Good God...she seems like such a collected character. Easy to control...I dunno. I just like the vibes she gives. She seems so relaxed with everything around her...It's nice.

its just now i noticed something, its like she's been trown into water and as she hits the bottom the coffindoor opens and reveals what looks like a bride (to me anyway) tied up.
this just keeps on getting better and better

This piece is exquisite! The attention to detail is magnificant. The artistic influence is apparent, but not so much as to be considered unoriginal. The interesting thing I see (and I know this is just me reading too much into all of this) is that the subject "Good God" is being bound and trapped in a coffin. It reminds me of how some sects of religion today bind and trap the concept of God into a small box thus forming God to their image. (Irony)
But again I realize that this is just me reading too much into the image. It's gorgeous.
I did have a question; I see that you note that these character are from your comic. Is this comic available for the public to purchase or is this a private project?

Why thank you. It's one of my favorite images. Though it's not as deep as your reading (though i do like what you got out of it.
I'm currently working on my comic project for submission to have it published (hopefully.) Pretty soon, i'm going to have a preview of the comic in a web-comic format. (There's a preview, of the preview here [link]

Chan... WOW. This is gorgeous! All your art is, but you just continue to constantly amaze me. I love it! Others have commented on the bright colors (from what I could tell as I scrolled down to the comment box), and I agree. The bright red/purple/white in the center are so nice flanked by the darker shadows. Is GG supposed to be in a coffin? That was my initial impression, so I had to ask.

I love the richness of the colors on this. The pale skin set against the red hair makes the skin really glow, and the white edge around the hair really pops out Good God. Nice.

I like the emptyness of it's surrounds, the limited marks and the black make for an almost clostraphobic feelig, waht you can imagine GG is going through, bound inside a coffin. I don't know why, i think it's a few of the white marks, make me feel like it's sinking into a dark obyss, a sort of water grave, soemthing flaoty about it.... I don't know there is also a peace to it that makes me feel that to, water and flaoting ive always felt to be very peaceful, though the idea f drowning has always scared me so much!

you know i need to do water in complete blackness one of these days. I keep telling myself to do so.. but i always forget. This image would have been perfect for trying something like that.

Yes, i wouldn't say i was a super swimmer but as a child it was the only exercise I enjoied so I swam alot, it is more about the fear of dying slowly. I often have nightmares where i get tangled in my sheets and feel like am being strangled, wake up all panicy.I just don't like the idea of a slow death that's all
see while other kids were thinking about candy i was thinking about that sort of stuff, why am so messed up

There seems to be a lack of vocabulary for me at the moment to describe just how captivating this picture is, due to just waking up only 10 minutes ago from a 4-hour sleep.

i'm exceptionally fond of the swirling colours used in the background and on the dress.
the tilted composition is amazing. the scribbled outline of what i can only assume is the coffin lid?? is excellent.
i always love how you take the lighter colour and sort of sketch over the picture to add more detail to it.
and, as always, i simply LOVE her hair. love this piece to death, chandra! if i fave'd images, i'd fave this one twice.

I could stare at the hair all day. I don't mean to neglect the rest of the piece, but man... it's like staring into a fire and not being able to concentrate properly on anything else for ten minutes afterward. Excellent!
