Acid — Description

Acid is a large, stocky dark gray cat with dense fur and some countershading as his only marking - making his pelt look nearly black along the back. A neon green slime seeps from many wounds across his body, stark against the desaturated fur, and constantly dribbles from his near toothless mouth. Acid’s eyes are the same glowing green, with dark green specks outlined in white serving as pupils. A prominent scar is the two deep cuts across the left side of his face and through his left eye, though the eye seems unaffected. His bobtail isn’t natural… most likely an old, healed wound.
Acid is cursed with internals of pure caustic sludge. Replacing blood, bones and organs entirely with a mass of acidic green slime - contained to their pelt’s shape, and seemingly bound to only being able to bend in the ways a normal cat’s body can. Once outside of their skin, they can no longer control the movement of the acid at all. And in a similar vein to Drip, the internal acid supply seems to be endless.
His pelt is immune to the effect and in fact, most of PAIN’s environment is too (hence why the acid doesn’t just eat into the ground forever) but critically, most cats in PAIN are not immune to it and not only is it capable of great damage but oh, it hurts - a lot. Able to eat through bone in a matter of agonizing seconds.
Wounds inflicted on him do heal, but at a much slower rate than normal. Fresher wounds bleed out slime, while older ones look more condensed and darker. Eventually skin and fur can cover the area again. Due to Acid’s bodily functions functioning magically through slime, it seems he can’t be conventionally mortally wounded - even scratching through his eyes does no damage to his ability to see. Presumably the only way to kill Acid is to break apart his skin so thoroughly that his acid innards could no longer be contained and conscious.
Obviously, it’s through wounds other cats inflict upon Acid that their acidic defense can bleed onto them. But there is another method Acid uses to attack with acid, and it’s via vomiting, which Acid can do nearly at will. In fact, part of their curse has been a permanent tummy ache that constantly afflicts them. It drives Acid a bit woozy more often than they’d ever admit, and much of their retching is actually involuntary.
Acid is hardly a conversationalist, they’d rather prove their superiority in battle than talk anything out. Simple and to the point, what Acid says goes and if you disagree you’ll have to test your willpower against their might - and see if you can even survive!
It’s no wonder they chose to live amidst Fear’s following - but don’t you dare call Acid a follower themself! They would never be a mere follower.
Their personality has been eroded to pure pride, and being so adept at withering all opponents down to a painful submission only amplifies that ego. Fear followers hardly like him, but his combat prowess definitely commands respect, enough that he’s able to go about unbothered through the territory… which oddly he doesn’t do much.
For the most part, Acid resides in a cave in Fear’s territory that he’s claimed as his own. He’s managed to build up his own acid pool at the end, using his own innards, and he hardly leaves it. Is it out of fear? Or a lack of confidence? Certainly not. Most definitely not.
Acid doesn’t fear anything! It’s something that erodes EVERYTHING and can kill ANYONE and it ALWAYS wins.

And if you ever caught the terror flashing across Acid’s face at the sight of even just one of Fear’s eyes– no, no you didn’t.

Edit: Lore!
I didn't end up explaining the eye scar in the lore description like I thought I would (didn't really fit the pacing) so I'll just say here that it's from Hiss's fangs in a very determined attempt to envenomate him (she does not like him.) Alas it didn't work, but unusually the scar has persisted very long despite being one of Acid's earliest. Even his ripped off tail has healed before it.
Look who's been brought back into canon... my dear Acid!! Who really mostly originates a more of a cool visual idea than a character, but I am attempting to revamp him with more of a personality and motivations now! Hopefully it will be described in his completed lore. There's definitely a lot I didn't get to... like where that scar in his face came from. I wonder if you can guess which cat gave him that...
I will add for now, Acid's an older member of Fear's group. Might also be the cause of a certain other cat missing a few toes, cough.
Side note: I may revoke the earring from his design in the future. He definitely had an earring, but I've been thinking more and more that he probably would have lost it in a fight sometime before the current events of PAIN's story (AKA when Drip's group started doing things.)
