i made this layout for a friend's online journal (blog)... a working version of it can be found here [link] i didn't take too much time on the html, so it could be a little bit better.the main background image was created by ~trik , and i used some of *WuRklash 's brushes (modified a little bit) as part of the design...
i'm probably going to make a blue version of this sometime soon, and change the links a bit.
EDIT: i changed the links so they're not so distracting

The locked-size leaves alot of blank space around the background. I'm also not liking the link areas because they detract from the most important part of the link: the text. The extra lines make everything difficult to concentrate on, and there are no definite neutral areas to escape to.

yeah, i agree with you on the links... that's what i meant when i said i was going to change them a little bit...
but for the background i only have it at that size because the person i made it for has an 8x6 resolution, and the majority of people in general have an 8x6 resolution... otherwise i would make it larger... i could use percents, but i've never really trusted them to be right at all resolutions...
