deviantART Administrators give a damn about this site, and are interested in bringing you awesome things. Sometimes it doesn't show, and sometimes you wonder just what they are doing and what's wrong with them. Sometimes you may get frustrated with them. But I have talked with many of them personally. They care about what goes on here. They can't appeal to everyone, but they are trying hard to do what is good for you, for the community, and for the site.Remember that when you are frustrated with a dA Admin and want to quit or bitch about them, that they are coming on this site too, wanting to bring the best, and that bitching at them won't get anything solved.
If you have an issue with something on the site, feel free to share, but *only* if you can share it in a constructive manner. Then you can work *with* deviantART Administrators to build a better dA.

Yeah, considering a good friend of mine was banned over nothing while an art thief who resented her still runs free even after doing a lot worse for many years, I know better than to believe this stamp holds any truth to it. :I

All I'm gathering from your comment is "I don't agree with your comment so I'm going to claim you're ignorant for not sharing the same views as me!" I'm pretty sure that word does not mean what you think it means, I'm also willing to bet that the one that you're most likely looking for is arrogant.

Arrogant means prideful to a fault nothing you said would count toward prideful, and especially not to a fault and you are ignorant. You're ignorant toward how these site management works, to their work load which btw is massive enough outside of just dealing with art theft cases which have researched, checked, and varied. These issues do get fixed but it's not in a timely manner due to the fact that unlike youtube Da is not which is owned by Google a massive company with billions of dollars and hundreds of employees to throw at these issues.
Speaking of which even with YT money, and workers Copy written content is still an issue on the site.

there so many things that could be said towards it but , it already been said on the stamp already especially the ones where the admins ignore reports for a long time until it's to late to deal with them , and ignore reports for no reason even though it a violation of the rules they have placed , and just treating some people who report these things like idiots

Agreed. I hate when people freak out about them deliberately being evil and other stupid conspiracy theories. A lot of the staff have been around since before the site became really big, so it's not all about money for a lot of them.

I like this because a lot of times, I feel (as I know many others do) that my work isn't good enough, that I shouldn't be putting it on here, that no one's going to accept it and everyone will just rip it apart. And then I do, and the comments and critiques I receive are respectful and kind. The people are lovely. DeviantART loves me...I just have to ask it for a hug

I think people should stop complaining about how 'oh I do get this without a premium' 'oh I can't do that'. If you really wanted to have the extra little things maybe you should get a premium! They can't run this site for free, you know...

I dunno. I tend to hear a lot of horror stories surrounding the staff on a daily basis, but in my personal experience they've been responsive and quick to act. Maybe I'm just lucky, or maybe I catch them on good days? Or maybe they really are trying to help and the jaded members are the ones who make the most noise. I really have no idea what the truth is.
But as for the premium membership hoo-ha... I can't believe so many people are complaining about this issue. It's selfish really, demanding free goodies when all the features people already have with a regular membership are really good. You have an audience, access to other peoples' art, tutorials, artistic communion - the world at your fingertips. I've been on both sides, and have been a non-paying member even longer, so I can say without a doubt that it is well-worth it for professional and amateur artists to pay the rather modest fee and expand your 'life career' on a singular, powerful website. I believe that despite dA's glaring flaws, the programmers and staff members deserve to be paid. No money, no advancement. I remember the good ol' days when nothing was free, and now, 30 dollars a year, every 365 days, every 12 months, causes people to squirm? Try commission work if the price is really that unreasonable for your current budget, or wait until you have an income if your guardians are unwilling to help out.
Art. It's always been such a shaky and opinionated subject, so I'm fine if people don't agree. This was just drawn out of personal experience.

I am inclined to agree with this stamp, and I don't care how out of place my comment would seem in this wave of haters.
For everything that's happened to me, I love and appreciate the admins on this site. I have talked to many of them personally, and they show a lot of respect for my opinions and problems. Whenever I had trouble with art thieves stealing my own art, I got the admins to take the works down in literally a few days and I agree with many things they do.
Many people feel offended when they only give great stuff to premium members, but I understand that running a site takes LOTS OF MONEY TO KEEP UP and unless you want a shitty website, then you have to understand that they have to have money. They don't love your money, they are running a business here. Many people fail to understand that this website is also a business, and we can't have everything handed to us free.
The idea of the username change is understandable, they have to complicatedly reroute everything that goes to our old username and they have to take up more data space, so it's only understandable that they can't just hand it out to everyone. They want to hand it out to those who are active and care about their account, and it may seem like its only for the rich but seriously? 7 bucks for a premium is not that much, and obviously if you are complaining about that then a PM is not your thing and you should reconsider your priorities.
I love deviantart with all my heart, I love the people, the admins, and I love the amazing artists who bring me joy, and its people who create drAma that I don't deal with. And I agree, deviantart loves us, if not why would they put in hours of work for us? But if you disagree with me, feel free to, it's your entitled opinion and you are more than welcome to have it, but don't hate on others who have THEIR entitled opinion also, even if their opinion differs from yours.

YES someone around here with a brain!, I have been trying to get those same points across to tons of people! I do think dA is amazing even if they have to charge people for certain things, and the fact that they did not allow name changing for everyone, I didn't think they should, or would allow it at all, but they did it specifically because the community wanted dA loves us but can't always love us for free
