Nice work Sortvind, in my humble opinion I would try the following changes. Crop out the left third of the shot, to me that side competes for the eyes attention with the main leaf. I think you'll still achieve the rule of thirds with the main stem and tips of both leaves etc. I love the hues, they remind me of the copper metal roses that some artists sculpt. But it still works great in the square crop because the hues are more catching then the subject. Again just my humble opinion and a different point of view. Well done.
